Christopher Judge, the actor known for playing Kratos in the God of War games set in Norse mythology, has shared his thoughts on who will play the character in the upcoming TV series.
Ryan Hurst, known for his roles in shows like Sons of Anarchy and The Walking Dead, and as the voice of Thor in God of War Ragnarok, will star in Amazon’s new live-action series based on Norse mythology.
I’m so glad to hear Judge is happy with how things turned out! I just saw a video from Fan Expo HQ where he was all smiles talking about Hurst – nothing but good things to say, which is awesome.
Judge explains they simply wanted the actor playing Kratos to genuinely care for the character, just as the fans do. They believe Ryan Hurst was a perfect choice, and he’s brought that love and respect to the role beautifully.
He then praised the actor as both talented and kind, noting that he’s essentially been the voice of Kratos since the very beginning, demonstrating a deep understanding of the character and the game’s story.
“So, kudos. You’ve got a great live-action Kratos. Kill it, Ryan.”
It’s great to see Kratos’ current performer give Hurst his support.
Fans will have to wait a while for the God of War TV series, as production hasn’t started yet, but is expected to begin shortly.
