Nick Cannon Reveals Secret Engagements Before Mariah Carey Marriage

Nick Cannon is unmasking some surprises about his love life.

Previously, the host of “The Masked Singer” confessed that prior to fathering 12 children with six distinct partners, he had been secretly engaged approximately six times.

He mentioned on the June 19th episode of “The Really Good Podcast,” hosted by Bobbi Alhoff, that he put forth multiple proposals, but in reference to his marriage with Mariah Carey, he clarified that he experienced it just one time.

Discussing his marital history before tying the knot with the “Heartbreaker” singer in 2008, Nick, who was romantically connected with Christina Milian, Kim Kardashian, and Selita Ebanks (with whom he was publicly engaged in 2007), mentioned casually that a few of his ex-fiancees still hold on to their engagement rings.

It seems like the 44-year-old has made up his mind about marriage and family expansion. He mentioned that he got married once but doesn’t foresee another marriage happening, and hinted at possibly not pursuing more children either.

Nick is the father to twins Moroccan and Monroe, aged 14, whom he has with Mariah; Golden, 8, Powerful, 4, and Rise, 2, are his children with Brittany Bell; twins Zion and Zillion, 4, as well as daughter Beautiful, 2, are his offspring with Abby De La Rosa; Legendary, 2, is his child with Bre Tiesi; and Onyx, 2, is his with LaNisha Cole. He also shares late son Zen, who passed away in 2021 at the age of 5 months due to brain cancer, and daughter Halo, 2, with Alyssa Scott.

Nick mentioned, “This year marks my 45th birthday, which is often considered the end of a man’s life span. However, I can’t predict what the universe or whatever higher power may have planned for me.

Besides, he’s already dropping “too much” money on just Disneyland trips for his children.

The comedian mentioned that he likely spends nearly a million dollars annually at Disneyland, detailing his additional expenses for exclusive park tours, as well as tickets, meals, and keepsakes. He likened the cost to about $800 per person.

2013’s anniversary celebration of his with Mariah was off the charts! They pulled out all the stops – shutting down an entire resort just so we could renew our vows outside Sleeping Beauty’s Castle. I can still feel the magic in the air!

“We had a party, we flew people out,” Nick recalled. “It was just that much fun.”

Last year, my partner and I opted to celebrate our anniversary with a subdued evening instead of a lavish party, marking a shift from previous years. Fast forward to December 2014, we made the difficult decision to part ways, a choice that was officially finalized in 2016.

On the 30th of April, 2011, Mariah Carey delivered her twin babies with Nick, who were their offspring. They made public their separation in 2015 following a six-year union as husband and wife, and they finalized their divorce a year after that declaration.

2017 saw Brittany Bell, the beauty queen, welcoming her and Nick’s first-born son into the world on February 21st.

Brittany and Nick welcomed their second baby together, a girl, in December 2020.

DJ Abby De La Rosa gave birth to her and Nick’s twin boys on June 14, 2021.

Model Alyssa Scott welcomed a baby boy with Nick on June 23, 2021. 

Five months after the birth of their son, Nick sadly announced that Zen had lost his battle with brain cancer. “Alyssa displayed an incredible strength,” he stated on The Nick Cannon Show. “She never argued or showed anger. She was emotional when necessary but always proved to be the best mother and continues to excel in this role. So I must express my gratitude to my entire family, but particularly to Alyssa.

He continued, “It’s important to remember that people often hide their struggles. So, show affection, give a warm embrace, express your love to those close to you.

On June 28, 2022, Bre Tiesi joyously ushered in her firstborn son together with Nick. The newborn weighed a healthy 8 lbs and 10 oz at the time of his birth.

Bre shared on her Instagram post in July 2022, “I gave birth naturally, without medication at home.” She described this as a challenging, enlightening, and empowering experience that left her feeling humbled. She expressed gratitude towards her team for ensuring the safe delivery of her son.

Nick and model LaNisha Cole welcomed a daughter on Sept. 14, 2022. 

Brittany gave birth to her third child with Nick on Sept. 23, 2022.

Abby gave birth to a baby girl, her third child with Nick, in November 2022.

Alyssa gave birth to her and Nick’s daughter on Dec. 14, 2022.

The model posted an Instagram video, revealing the ‘Wild ‘n Out’ star assisting in the delivery of their baby. She penned, “Our lives have been irrevocably altered.” She added, “Zen permeates every breath I draw. I feel his presence was with us during that moment. I believe he is looking over us from above. He sends me signs daily. I will cherish this memory forever.

She went on to say, “I’ll always cherish the sound of Nick’s voice announcing ‘it’s a girl’, as all our experiences seemed to cross his face in that moment. I’ll remember the cry of her first breath and the sensation of her heartbeat against mine. Oh, my darling! What a wonderful surprise you were! We adore you, Halo Marie Cannon!
