It’s common for female characters in action-packed Shonen series to receive a lot of unfair criticism, and Sakura Haruno from Naruto often gets the most hate. Despite being a loyal friend to the main character and contributing significantly to the story, fans tend to dwell on her flaws instead of acknowledging her positive qualities. She’s been a dedicated member of Team 7 from the start, supporting her teammates through every challenge. It’s also worth noting that the animation studio, Pierrot, altered some of her scenes, which may have created a different impression of her character compared to the original manga.

This animation studio has a reputation for changing characters, particularly female ones. A prime example is how they simplified Orihime’s story in Bleach, removing much of the tragic depth she had in the original manga. Despite criticism from fans and these changes, Sakura Haruno consistently demonstrates her strength and abilities throughout the series. Although she doesn’t receive as much attention as Naruto and Sasuke, she has many impressive moments that clearly establish her as the best character in the show.

The Chunin Exams took a dark turn when Orochimaru attacked the Hidden Leaf Village. His followers focused on Team 7, quickly defeating Naruto and Sasuke. With both of them knocked out, Sakura was left to defend them. Despite being outnumbered and less powerful than her enemies, she bravely stood her ground and refused to let them harm her teammates.

I remember watching her chop off her hair – it was a powerful moment. It felt like she was literally cutting ties with everything that had held her back, and she refused to be pushed around. Even now, it stands out as a key turning point for her character, showing how much she’d grown after being backed into a difficult situation.

4) Sakura Is The First Character to Defeat an Akatsuki Member

The Akatsuki are a powerful group of villains, famous for being made up of some of the most dangerous criminals. When the Shippuden series began, they started hunting down those who held powerful beasts sealed inside them, beginning with Gaara and his one-tailed beast. Realizing Gaara was in serious danger, the Hidden Leaf Village sent a team to rescue him after he became Kazekage.

Sakura faced off against Sasori, a powerful puppet master, and managed to defeat him in under three minutes with crucial assistance from Lady Chiyo. This battle is considered her most impressive fight in the series.

3) Sakura Saved Countless Shinobi During The Final War

Sakura is an incredibly skilled medical ninja, surpassing most others. This is due to both her training under Tsunade and her natural talent for chakra control. During the devastating Fourth Great Ninja War, Tsunade fought alongside the other Kage against Madara Uchiha. The war was the most destructive conflict the ninja world had ever known, causing countless deaths.

Sakura was the only medical ninja skilled enough to treat injuries directly on the battlefield, and she performed exceptionally well. During the war’s final battles, she saved the lives of numerous ninja from the Allied Forces, and even brought Naruto back from the verge of death.

2) Sakura Unlocks Her Trump Card in The Final War

This powerful, ancient technique demands incredibly precise chakra control – something very few ninja master, even with extensive training. Sakura has always been naturally gifted with chakra control, surpassing both Naruto and Sasuke. Because of this talent, she was able to learn from Tsunade how to store a large amount of chakra in her forehead and then release it to significantly boost her strength.

Sakura revealed this incredible ability during the Final War, joining Naruto and Sasuke in the thick of battle. She bravely took the lead, drawing enemy fire to create opportunities for her teammates. Though she suffered life-threatening injuries, she was instantly healed, allowing her to continue fighting.

1) Sakura Punched Kaguya to Help Seal The Villain

After over two years apart, Team 7 came together again, though not in a happy situation. They teamed up during the final battle to defeat Kaguya, and their plan depended on the special powers Naruto and Sasuke received. Just when they had Kaguya cornered, she nearly escaped by flying upwards.

Sakura managed to stop Kaguya by striking her, forcing her to retreat before her teammates could finish sealing her away. This action brought the long and devastating war to an end, finally bringing peace back to the ninja world.
