Leonardo DiCaprio Reacts to Costar Chase Infiniti’s Oscars Nomination

Leonardo DiCaprio will fight any battle for Chase Infiniti.

The 51-year-old actor praised his fellow cast member from One Battle After Another, especially after learning his on-screen daughter wasn’t nominated for Best Actress at the Oscars on January 22nd.

Leonardo DiCaprio praised his co-star, saying she was essential to the movie’s success. Speaking to the Associated Press after the Oscar nominations on January 22nd, he said she was the driving force behind the film, and that ‘One Battle After Another’ wouldn’t exist without her performance. He himself was nominated for Best Actor for his role.

Leonardo DiCaprio, known for his role in The Wolf of Wall Street, highlighted that Chase, despite not receiving any nominations, handled the news with a remarkably positive attitude.

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve seen a lot of pressure on young performers, and this situation was particularly intense. This actress was making her film debut and essentially carried the emotional core of the entire movie – it was a huge ask! Honestly, she absolutely nailed it, and everyone on set is incredibly proud of her accomplishment. It’s inspiring to see someone handle that kind of weight with such grace and talent.

Leonardo DiCaprio and Chase Dillon star as Bob and Willa Ferguson, a father and daughter on the run from a dishonest military officer. The film also features Benicio Del Toro, Sean Penn, Teyana Taylor, and Regina Hall.

Leonardo received only one Oscar nomination out of the film’s thirteen, while Benecio, Sean, and Teyana were also nominated for their performances. Director and co-writer Paul Thomas Anderson also received a nomination.

Leonardo was thrilled and thankful to learn he’d received his eighth nomination on January 22nd.

He shared in a statement to TopMob News that making the film was a deeply meaningful and collaborative experience. He credited the film’s success to the incredible cast – including Teyana, Chase, Benny, Sean, and Regina – and the dedication of the entire crew, praising their generosity, courage, and talent.

Leonardo explained that Paul’s creative vision, hard work, and faith in the film were essential to its success. He praised Paul for bringing a meaningful and timely story to the screen, and expressed his gratitude that the Academy had acknowledged it with this award.

He finished by congratulating the other nominees on a fantastic season and thanking the Academy once more.
