Guy Fieri Is Unrecognizable With “New Look” for His 58th Birthday

Guy Fieri is adding a little flavor to his signature look.

The celebrity chef marked his 58th birthday with a makeover, swapping his signature spiky, platinum hair and edgy clothes for a sleeker, more refined style – but he still kept things interesting!

In a recent Instagram video posted on January 23rd, Guy announced a playful rebrand for his birthday. The video features an AI-generated version of himself with a new look – a brown combover, button-down shirt, and khakis. He jokingly wrote, ‘After celebrating my birthday as Guy for so long, I decided to celebrate as just a guy this year.’ and wished himself a happy birthday.

To show how serious he is about changing his online presence, the host of Guy’s Grocery Games updated his Instagram profile picture to his new avatar. But not everyone loves the change – his son, Hunter, is among those who aren’t impressed.

In the comments, Guy Fieri’s 29-year-old son playfully asked, “Dad, when did you start selling insurance?”

Hunter kept the joke going on his Instagram Stories, sharing the video again and adding laughing emojis.

“Happy Birthday to the Mayor!” he wrote. “Love you dad/just a Guy.” 

Guy Fieri recently got a new look just after sharing positive news about his recovery. The host of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, and father to 20-year-old Ryder, has been recovering well since undergoing emergency surgery in November to fix a torn thigh muscle.

He told People magazine on January 14th that he’s feeling better. While the holidays were difficult, he’s grateful for the simple ability to move and do everyday activities. He’s particularly missed his usual workouts – he loves CrossFit and hiking – and went eight weeks without being able to do them. He’s now looking forward to getting back to those activities, but is taking things slowly.

His injury, which kept him in a wheelchair for more than a month, impacted more than just him. Because the accident happened while filming his show, Flavor Town Food Fight, he had to temporarily change how guests appeared on set.

I was scheduled to be on set with all the chefs and a crew of 125 people, but I unexpectedly had to undergo surgery, as I told Fox News Digital last November. We managed to adjust and find creative ways to film despite the situation. Now, I’m recovering at my ranch, enjoying hiking and being outdoors – it’s a beautiful place to be.
