Bachelorette Emily Maynard’s Daughter Ricki Hendrick Gives Birth

Ricki Hendrick has a special rose to give out.

Emily Maynard Johnson, who starred on The Bachelorette, and the late Ricky Hendrick have welcomed their first grandchild, a daughter named Romi.

On January 23th, Ricki, age 20, posted a black-and-white photo on Instagram taken right after she gave birth. The picture shows her face close to her newborn baby, who was wrapped in a blanket. She also shared a photo of her mom, Emily, and stepdad, Tyler Johnson, lovingly looking at the baby.

Commemorating her daughter’s birthday, Ricki simply captioned the post, “Best day ever.”

The influencer, who has kept the father’s identity private, announced her baby’s name is Romi by changing her Instagram bio to ‘romi’s mom’.

Ricki is thrilled to welcome her daughter, but she’s been open about the challenges she faced during her pregnancy. She first shared the news in August and detailed the uncomfortable symptoms she experienced leading up to the birth.

She shared on Instagram in November that pregnancy has been really difficult. She described a recent morning where she woke up repeatedly, first at 2 AM for no reason, then again at 3:45 AM, each time followed by vomiting. She explained she was now feeling nauseous again because she was hungry, but couldn’t eat anything without making the sickness last longer.

And this was a regular occurrence, too, as she added, “This happens almost daily.”

Even though she wasn’t feeling great, Ricki stayed positive and enthusiastic throughout her long pregnancy.

She shared that everyone was correct – the final weeks of pregnancy really do feel endless. She expressed her joy at finally being able to see her baby outside of ultrasound appointments.

As a mom of five – Jennings Tyler, Gibson Kyle, Gatlin Avery, Magnolia Belle, and Jones West – I totally understand the joy of becoming a grandmother! It was so sweet to see Ricki expecting, and honestly, I couldn’t help but playfully respond to someone commenting about her having a baby outside of marriage. It’s all about love and family, and that’s what truly matters.

Emily playfully pretended to be upset, commenting ‘Very against it’ on her daughter’s Instagram Story in September. She jokingly added, ‘I cannot believe anybody would ever do that—unforgivable!’

I’ve been keeping up with all the wonderful family news, and it’s so heartwarming to see how many people have welcomed little ones recently! Ricki isn’t alone – let me tell you about some other happy parents who’ve had babies in the last year.
