
Fans are celebrating the 40th anniversary of Dragon Ball with a fantastic new special! The celebration began with a special promotional video showcasing the series’ incredible journey over the years in a fresh, exciting way.
I’m so excited about this new promo video for Dragon Ball! It’s a beautiful showcase of Akira Toriyama’s artwork, and they’ve really gone all out for the 40th anniversary. Naoki Miyahara directed it, with Kai Makino handling the CG and Chikashi Kubota leading the 2D animation – it looks incredible! But the biggest surprise? Hans Zimmer, the composer behind The Lion King and Dune, created a special theme called “Infinite Future” for it! It’s such an unexpected and amazing collaboration. Dragon Ball Goes All Out for 40th Anniversary Remake
The biggest surprise from the celebration of Dragon Ball‘s 40th anniversary was the involvement of renowned composer Hans Zimmer, who created the music for the anniversary video. Zimmer shared a message on the anime’s website, saying, “Happy 40th anniversary, Dragon Ball! It was truly a joy to be part of this special anniversary project.” It’s clear from his statement that this collaboration was significant for him as well.
I had a fantastic time composing the music for this video, inspired by Akira Toriyama’s amazing artwork and the beautiful animation. I hope fans of Dragon Ball everywhere love it! And there’s even more to come – the franchise has some exciting new projects planned for the next year and beyond.
Dragon Ball Super Anime Returns With Remake in Fall 2026

Fans of Dragon Ball Super have exciting news to look forward to! This fall, a remastered version of the Dragon Ball Super: Beerus arc (originally based on Battle of Gods) will be released, featuring updated footage and edits. And that’s not all – a completely new Dragon Ball Super anime series is also in development.
A new anime, Dragon Ball Super: The Galactic Patrol, is officially continuing the Dragon Ball Super story. While details like the release date and who’s working on it haven’t been announced yet, it will cover the Galactic Patrol Prisoner arc from the original Dragon Ball Super manga. With the 40th anniversary of Dragon Ball coming up, fans have a lot more anime to anticipate in the months ahead.
