Emmerdale airs dilemma for Paddy Dingle amid Bear Wolf’s murderous secret in ITVX release

Paddy Dingle is facing more trouble in Emmerdale after his father, Bear Wolf, killed Ray Walters, who was involved in dishonest dealings.

During a week of episodes looking back at the past, the show revealed a surprising development. Viewers saw several possible suspects and learned where they were on the day of the victim’s death.

On Thursday, we found out what was really going on. Paddy was incredibly upset and worried about what the future held, deeply saddened by what he thought had happened to Bear.

Ray suddenly attacked, but quickly regretted it when Bear, very much alive, fought back and knocked him to the ground, choking him. After Ray died, Paddy and young Dylan Penders (played by Fred Kettle) were left to deal with the aftermath and hide the body.

They intended to hide his body in the woods, but Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson) accidentally drove away in the van with the body still inside, ruining their plan.

Paddy then faced an even bigger problem – how would he protect Bear from being sent down?

It was such a strange turn of events! After enduring six months of awful treatment by the ruthless Ray and his mother, Celia Daniels (Jaye Griffiths), he actually locked his own father away in a rented cottage. I just couldn’t believe it when I saw that happen – it felt so incredibly twisted and out of nowhere.

Every time someone asks where he is, Paddy pretends he doesn’t know and claims he’s still looking.

DS Walsh, played by Amanda Ryan, shared news about Bear’s disappearance – or, more accurately, the lack of it – and encouraged Paddy to remain hopeful.

Dylan stayed at the cottage with Bear all day to make sure he didn’t wander off. Paddy worried about how long this situation would last and if his father would avoid calling the police.

He felt terribly guilty, and it got even worse when his wife, Mandy (played by Lisa Riley), phoned him from Ireland.

She noticed her husband was struggling and told him she’d cut her trip short to be there for him. But worried she’d find out what he was planning, he foolishly upset her and told her to stay away.

Not long after, Paddy went to check on Bear, and was shocked to find the cottage window open – Bear was gone.

How will the family navigate this next hurdle?
