Marcello Hernández is no manchild when it comes to quelling romance rumors.
The Saturday Night Live comedian responded to rumors about a romantic relationship with Sabrina Carpenter, clarifying that they are just friends.
Marcello, 28, recently revealed on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast that he’s dating Sabrina, a Dominican architect who went to Yale. He described her as ‘unreal,’ ‘awesome,’ funny, and ‘really cool.’
Marcello is dating Ana Amelia Batlle Cabral, and they recently appeared together on the red carpet at the premiere of Happy Gilmore 2 in July. They were also seen together at the after-party for The Phoenician Scheme in May.
The rumors about a romance with Sabrina started with the popular “Domingo” sketch from Saturday Night Live.
The initial version of the performance featured Ariana Grande playing a woman from a bachelorette party, telling the story of their trip and the bride’s affair with the character from the ‘Marcello’ video – all set to Sabrina Carpenter’s song “Espresso.” However, the Disney Channel star also quickly became involved.

After police arrested an impersonator dressed as Domingo during a concert in November 2024, she later appeared in a follow-up sketch for the SNL50 anniversary show a few months later, and again this past October.
Sabrina and Marcello didn’t have a romantic connection, but they became close friends. He admired her talent for comedy and her enthusiasm for the now-famous sketch.
He told Dax on the podcast that the incident with Domingo was a major event and really exciting. He described the moment Sabrina arrested him during her concert as something unbelievable.

Marcello said Sabrina is very playful and loves to have fun. He also mentioned she’s a talented actress, and praised the skill of young actors in general.
Sabrina isn’t the only one who stood out as a host on Saturday Night Live. Here are some other memorable hosts from the show’s history.

Kim Kardashian made jokes about her past relationships with Kanye West and her family’s connection to O.J. Simpson, as well as the very public romance between her sister Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker. However, the highlight of the show was a sketch inspired by Aladdin, where she shared a kiss with Pete Davidson. This led to a nine-month relationship between the two.

Having hosted the show ten times – including the very first remote episode during the 2020 pandemic – you can always count on a great time when the beloved host is on stage. Still not convinced? Just remember three words: David. S. Pumpkins.

Bill Hader amazed viewers with his comedic talent when he first hosted in 2008. He’s since returned as host twice and has also made a few unexpected appearances.
Whether it’s his hilarious “Jon Hamm’s John Ham” sketch—remember the one about the lunch meat and bathroom breaks?—or playing Ace Ventura in a live-action version of the famous “Ambiguously Gay Duo” cartoon, Jon Hamm has quickly become a favorite with the show’s cast, something not many hosts achieve.

Few people are as dedicated to comedy as Kristen Wiig. A perfect example? When she hosted Saturday Night Live in 2011, she famously covered herself in ranch dressing for a hilarious sketch called “Taste Test.”
She’s become a frequent guest on Saturday Night Live, joining the exclusive group of hosts who’ve appeared five or more times in under ten years. She even famously made Sean Spicer, while he was working for the Trump administration, visibly uncomfortable with her appearances.

Many of the celebrities on this list had the talent to be regular performers on Saturday Night Live. Justin Timberlake, in particular, seemed like a strong contender for a while. His five times hosting the show created some truly memorable and iconic sketches – think “Omletteville,” “Dick in a Box,” “Barry Gibb Talk Show,” and “Mother Lover” – all of which became part of the cultural conversation. And who could forget his surprise appearance as a backup dancer in Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies” video alongside Bobby Moynihan and Andy Samberg? It was a fantastic moment.

Few people have hosted Saturday Night Live as often as this iconic comedian—in fact, only one person has. Over his 16 appearances on the show between 1976 and 2009, he created beloved characters like the Festrunk Brothers and King Tut. He also shared a deeply moving moment, paying tribute to Gilda Radner after her death from cancer by recalling a joyful dance they once shared on set.

Scarlett Johansson is closely connected to the SNL family through her relationship with Colin Jost, and she’s become a memorable part of the show since first appearing in 2006. Having hosted six times, she’s created many iconic moments over the years.
She frequently filled in as Ivanka Trump when needed and starred in the bizarre “Shud the Mermaid” sketch with Kate McKinnon. She also played Lexi, the daughter of Fred Armisen’s character Mark, in a popular sketch where they tried to sell chandeliers, statues, columns, and fountains.

Betty White only hosted Saturday Night Live one time, making her the show’s oldest host ever at 88 years old! Her appearance was particularly special because fans successfully campaigned for her to be on the show via Facebook after seeing her in The Proposal.
She also earned a spot on this list simply because she was incredibly funny. A standout sketch from her episode features Tina Fey as a census taker hilariously trying to get a clear answer from White.

As a proud member of the Five-Timers Club, Johnson instantly proved his worth by agreeing to play The Rock Obama. That really says it all.

Alec Baldwin has hosted Saturday Night Live 17 times, and he’s become almost synonymous with the show – perhaps even more so than some of the regular cast members. Over the years, he’s given fans countless memorable moments, from iconic sketches like “Canteen Boy” and “Schweddy Balls” to his spot-on impressions of figures like Tony Bennett and, famously, Donald Trump. His many appearances at Studio 8H have made him a true SNL staple.
