Love may be blind, but it’s also up to chance.
Colleen Reed and Matt Bolton, a couple from season three of Love Is Blind, revealed that they actually flipped a coin to help them decide whether or not to get married during the 2022 finale.
Colleen shared on the January 21st episode of the What’s the Reality? podcast that the night before, their families were at either Applebee’s or Chili’s and they decided to flip a coin to make a decision. They agreed that if it landed on heads, they would say yes, and if it landed on tails, they would say no.
We just kept making decisions by flipping a coin, and I’d say, ‘If it lands on heads twice out of three flips, we do that.’ I honestly didn’t know what else to do, and neither did he.
Colleen and Matt, both 31, didn’t fully decide on their wedding plans, but on the morning of the big day, they simply told each other, “I’ll see you at the altar.”
You know, looking back on it, the proposal was actually pretty casual! They asked him if he’d be willing, and when he said yes, I just thought, ‘Alright, sounds good, let’s make it happen!’ It wasn’t a grand gesture, but it felt right, and that’s what mattered.
Colleen initially wasn’t sure if the reality TV dating show would lead to marriage, but as she and Matt got closer, they both decided to commit to each other and say ‘yes’ in that moment.
Even though Colleen and Matt divorced in May after four years of marriage, she still looks back fondly on her time on Love Is Blind, saying she had a great experience.

Last year, the former couple released a joint statement announcing their breakup, and they both expressed gratitude for their time together and the experience they shared on the Netflix dating show.
They announced on Instagram that they met in a truly special and surprising way, and they cherish the love and memories they’ve created together. They added that they wouldn’t change a thing and will always care deeply for each other.
Beyond Colleen and Matt, read on to see a status update from Love Is Blind couples.

Ultimately, Anton’s lifestyle and money problems weren’t a good fit for what Ali wanted.
She told the truck driver, right at the altar, that she couldn’t marry him. She explained that the man she’d connected with while they were dating in the pods was very different from the man she’d gotten to know in person.
So, she listened to her intuition.
It just didn’t feel authentic, or how I imagined such a special moment would feel,” she explained. “I also didn’t think he was very open about his life and what it was really like.”
Anton said he wasn’t sure what went wrong – whether it was a matter of appearances, the general feeling between them, or just how they lived together. He emphasized that he always cared for her deeply.

Despite a shared connection through family members with Type 1 diabetes, Megan and her fiancé had very different lifestyles – he favored simplicity, while she enjoyed luxury. This ultimately led Megan to end their engagement, as revealed in the season nine finale.
“It’s like we’re just passing ships – completely different people,” the entrepreneur explained. But Jordan didn’t understand the comparison, saying, “I don’t get it.”
After Megan mentioned Jordan’s fussy eating and difficult travel commitments as a father, he responded by questioning why she had chosen him in the pods to begin with.
She admitted she’d initially hoped their differences would work out, but ultimately had doubts. “Looking back, I realize I never wanted to get married and risk putting either of us in that position,” she said, and both of them started to cry.
Jordan admitted his biggest regret was letting his son, Luca, meet her. He explained in a private interview that he believes she doesn’t love him for who he is, and realizing that is what he needs to move on.
Megan shared that the experience made her doubt her abilities as a mother, wondering if she was too focused on her own needs.

At the altar, both Kalybriah and Edmond expressed strong feelings for each other, saying they loved each other very much. However, Kalybriah ultimately rejected Edmond’s proposal, offering her apologies.
She told the realtor she needed someone who was fully committed, and admitted she wasn’t in that place right now. However, she quickly added that saying no didn’t mean she didn’t care for him.
Edmond was upset and started crying, but Kalybriah thanked him for handling the situation with dignity as she explained her difficult decision. When he asked if they might date in the future, Kalybriah reassured him that she wasn’t ruling it out completely.
“I am shocked,” he said in a confessional of her decision. “There was no bright side.”

Joe and his partner didn’t get married on season nine; he ended things after experiencing an emotional crisis while trying on his tuxedo.
Madison later shared with Glamour that Joe presented two distinct sides of himself – one off-camera, where he was comforting and affectionate, and another on-camera, which was noticeably different, as viewers can observe during the pool party scene.
You know, Madison was really brave and directly asked Joe if he was attracted to her. He admitted it was something he struggled with while they were on vacation – it definitely created a bit of tension, and he was honest about that.
She explained that she asked him what kind of women he usually dated, and he said he preferred ‘more petite women.’ Despite being confident in herself, she admitted that comment briefly made her feel insecure.
Joe explained that he was clumsily trying to describe a recurring issue in his dating history, and didn’t intend to compare or judge anyone.

Nick broke up with Annie right before their wedding, telling her he felt upset that she repeatedly told him she loved him more than he loved her.
Despite Nick ending the relationship, the hairstylist didn’t accept it and pleaded with him to stay, saying, “Just stay with me and love me.”
“You can’t make one plus one equal three,” he said, prompting her to say, “Watch me.”
Nick finally explained to Annie that he didn’t want to marry her because he was unhappy.

Dave and Lauren’s relationship didn’t work out after they arrived in Honduras. While they had friends in common, the real issue was Dave’s discomfort with Lauren having been with someone else before the show – something they revealed to him. He struggled to move past that information.
Plus, Dave hadn’t wanted to introduce Lauren to his friends or family. He hadn’t even told his dad about their engagement, and his sister, who would later cause problems, completely disapproved of the relationship.

Many viewers thought Monica and Joey were a perfect match and expected them to get married. But when the time came, Monica decided she wasn’t ready for marriage just yet.
She said, crying, that she was completely sure of how she felt, but believed they both still had some way to go. Joey wholeheartedly agreed.
He hugged her and reassured her that everything was alright. He admitted they clearly cared for each other, but felt they both needed to focus on personal growth. He agreed he wasn’t ready for a relationship, and was being honest about not being fully prepared at the moment.

Despite having significant differences in beliefs and values, like religion and politics, Ben and Sara appeared to be in agreement as their wedding day approached. However, they ultimately decided to call off their relationship.
Sara, who had previously told me she didn’t see a future with Ben, explained to him, “Ben, I love you very much, but I’ve always wanted a partner who shares my way of thinking. Because of that, I can’t continue this relationship. I’m truly sorry if that’s not what you wanted to hear.”
She explained that while she deeply cares for him, their core beliefs are too different for her to continue the relationship. Although it’s difficult, she knows in her heart this is the right decision.

Devin and Virginia appeared to be a happily matched couple, looking forward to their future together—but their relationship hit a snag when they started discussing a prenuptial agreement.
Ultimately, more significant problems led Virginia to end her relationship with Devin and decide not to marry him.
After leaving the altar, she explained, through tears, that she often felt the need to shield Devin throughout their relationship. She wasn’t sure if this stemmed from her upbringing, but protecting him was always a priority. This meant avoiding certain sensitive subjects, like politics, and respecting his boundaries, even if it meant they didn’t fully explore all aspects of their connection. Ultimately, they didn’t reach a deeper level of understanding in those areas.

In the end, Daniel and Taylor were the happy couple who decided to get married, promising a lifetime of love that would extend far beyond the holiday season.
Despite a rocky start – Taylor thought Daniel had briefly unfollowed her on Instagram, suggesting he’d seen her profile – they were able to move past it.
After sharing heartfelt vows, the couple had a lovely wedding and a joyful reception.
“We did it!” Daniel exclaimed, sitting with Taylor after their wedding. Taylor added with a smile, “We’re so excited to begin this new chapter of our lives.”

The art dealer, now well-known in his field, proposed to the author of Keeping Well after being involved in a complicated relationship with Hannah Jiles. However, they soon realized they were better suited as friends and ended their brief engagement.
Brittany and Leo realized they didn’t have a romantic connection, as Brittany explained to People magazine. They discussed the possibility of making things work at the start of their time together, but as they spent more time together, it became clear they weren’t a good match. They were able to communicate openly and respectfully, making the realization and decision to part ways relatively easy.
After gaining attention on a Netflix dating show, Brittany began dating musician Mod Sun in November 2024. However, she announced their breakup in July 2025.

Monica and Stephen split up after Monica discovered explicit text messages between her fiancé and another woman while they were still on vacation in Mexico. Stephen initially apologized on the show, but later posted a message on social media after the episode was broadcast.
As someone who talks about well-being a lot, I was really struck by a post I saw recently. Someone shared a vulnerable message online saying they hoped their mere existence hadn’t negatively impacted anyone’s day, and apologized if it had, even wishing people hadn’t had to wake up. It was a surprisingly tender sentiment, and they finished by saying they’d still care for everyone regardless. It just reminded me how important it is to be kind, both to others and to ourselves, because you never know what someone else is going through.

After leaving the pods, Hannah and Nick definitely had their share of challenges and arguments. Hannah famously pointed out, “I think you get treated as an equal when you start contributing like an equal.”
Honestly, things really fell apart when Hannah realized she didn’t see a future with Nick, ultimately calling off the wedding. It was devastating for him, and he’s shared that it was genuinely one of the hardest experiences he’s ever gone through. Breakups are never easy, but this one clearly hit him incredibly hard.
Since then, Hannah has admitted the show forced her to do some self-introspection.
She recently shared that she’s been reflecting on herself and identified areas for improvement. Appearing on the The Viall Files podcast in October, she explained that while she’s always been straightforward, she realizes her communication style can be a bit harsh. She’s come to understand that how you say something is just as important as what you say.

Taylor and Garrett had an instant connection – it felt like fate! They quickly fell in love and seemed destined for marriage. They did have one difficult moment when Taylor discovered Garrett had responded to a message from a former girlfriend, but he assured her he quickly ended the conversation and reaffirmed his engagement. After that, their relationship unfolded as fans saw on Love Is Blind.
The pair were still married at the Love Is Blind reunion in October 2024.

You’re not mistaken! Marissa and Ramses were initially considered a strong couple with a good chance of success, but Ramses ultimately decided to cancel their wedding because he had doubts.
After a heartfelt conversation, Marissa excitedly told her fiancé, “I see a wonderful future with you, and I want to marry you.” He replied, simply, “I know loving someone always involves a risk, and I accept that.”
He pointed out that their disagreements—like their differing views on the military—might be too significant to overcome. He explained that, having observed marriages himself and listened to others, he believes love isn’t always enough for a relationship to succeed. Other factors need to be compatible as well.
Marissa tried to stay strong, but once she realized the relationship was truly over, she started crying. She told him, “I wish you hadn’t come here,” and expressed her confusion and hurt, saying, “I was so certain about us, and you weren’t? It’s awful – I really wanted you to choose me.” She also confessed that this was the worst day of her life.

Tyler and Ashley were popular with viewers as their relationship seemed to be progressing smoothly. However, things became complicated when Tyler revealed he had three children, a revelation Ashley bluntly called his “sperm donor babies.” Online, people are debating how involved Tyler actually is as a father, but he hasn’t spoken publicly about these discussions.
By the October 2024 reunion show, Ashley and Tyler had resolved their differences, reconnected, and ultimately got married.
Oh my gosh, I was listening to Tyler and Ashley after their wedding, and it was EVERYTHING! He said they started this whole thing two months ago, and it totally flipped their lives upside down in the best way! Then he said they finally get to spend forever together! I’m seriously still crying, it was just so perfect and I’m so happy for them!
However, Ashley later shared that the pair had called it quits following over one year of marriage.
In a statement released in January 2025, she announced that she and Tyler have separated and are divorcing. She explained that after a lot of thought, they realized they were growing apart and couldn’t continue their marriage, despite her hopes for a more open and understanding relationship.

Alex and Tim appeared to resolve their big disagreement during their trip to Mexico, and their relationship seemed stronger than before when they returned to Washington, D.C. Things got even better when Tim had a heartfelt conversation with Alex’s father, suggesting a solid future for them both.
After Alex met Tim’s family, they had another fight, and Tim broke off their engagement, telling Alex he never wanted to speak to her again. Since then, both Alex and Tim have publicly shared their sides of the story, with Alex clarifying that the breakup wasn’t a joint decision.

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve seen couples go through their ups and downs, and Chelsea and Jimmy were no different. They had a few bumps in the road throughout their relationship, but it was so lovely to witness them seemingly resolve everything during a fun date at an amusement park just before their wedding. It felt like a beautiful turning point for them, a chance to start their marriage on a really positive note.
Jimmy ended his engagement with Chelsea, leaving her shocked and in tears, as he was ready to move on from their turbulent relationship.
Jimmy confessed to Chelsea during their date, “I’m deeply in love with you and really want a relationship, but I don’t see marriage in our future. I just can’t commit to that.”
He said they were simplifying a complex situation, but it stemmed from several deeply upsetting issues – around five or six of them. One example was Chelsea sharing a private secret about Jimmy and a past relationship with a friend.
After arguing repeatedly about their past relationships, Chelsea finally left, crying and saying, “I really thought we had a chance.”
The pair were both single during the March 2024 reunion.

Clay was reluctant to get married because of his father’s past infidelity, but AD comforted him, assuring him they could overcome any challenges together, and things seemed good between them.
When it came time to actually get married, Clay surprised AD by calling off the wedding. He explained that he wasn’t ready and felt it would be irresponsible to go through with it.
Cue the shock.
Let me tell you, navigating relationships is all about honesty, and I recently had a really important conversation. I explained to AD that I needed to be upfront with her – I wasn’t ready for marriage, and she deserved someone who was all in. I told her I’m committed to working through things with her, but I wouldn’t rush into something as big as marriage until I could truly give her my whole heart. It wasn’t about her, it was about me needing to be real about where I was at, and I had to tell her I simply couldn’t say ‘yes’ to her proposal right now. It’s tough, but sometimes the most loving thing you can do is be honest about what you can’t give, not just what you can.
The discovery deeply upset AD, causing her to break down in tears and angrily state that the relationship had been a complete waste of her time.
Let’s talk about Clay’s decision. He was really honest about the fact that it wasn’t just one thing that led to him leaving. He shared that both his finances and his emotional connection – or lack thereof – with his wife were huge factors. He actually had to ask himself some tough questions, like whether he was still acting like a husband, and ultimately, if he was still in love. His answer to both? A heartbreaking ‘no.’ It really highlights how important it is to be honest with yourself, even when it’s incredibly difficult.
At the reunion, Clay admitted he regretted how things went with AD and hoped they could try dating again, but AD didn’t reveal whether she’d be open to the idea.
I’ve been following AD for a while now, and she recently shared that she did go on a few dates with her co-star, Matthew Duliba, after they finished filming. But she made it clear they aren’t a couple now, so it wasn’t a long-term thing!
She announced in May 2025 she’s expecting her first baby with fiancé Ollie Sutherland.

Amy and Johnny were the only couple from season six to get married, and their celebration was beautiful! They also blended their families together wonderfully – Amy’s father even shared that he now feels like he has several daughters, including Johnny’s sister.
As for Johnny, he too declared at his reception that his father-in-law was his “new dad.”
They are still married.

Brittany and Kenneth’s relationship began passionately, but it didn’t last after they faced the challenges of everyday life.
Brittany explained to Life & Style that things changed after they left the pods and returned to Charlotte. She felt they had a very strong connection while isolated, but that passion faded once they were back in the real world.
Brittany and her former fiancé have stayed friends. At a recent meeting, she explained that even though their romantic relationship ended, they still share a deep and lasting connection.

Laura and Jeramey’s engagement ended abruptly when Laura discovered her fiancé had spent time with a fellow castmate, Sarah Ann Bick, while they were out one night. Following a heated argument, Laura broke up with Jeramey.
But instead of that, he went off to ride jet skis with Sarah Ann.
At the March 2024 reunion, Jeramey shared that he and Sarah Ann had been casually dating for about a year after the show finished filming, but they are no longer together.
Laura is dating someone else, who she did not identify at the reunion.

Despite overcoming challenges like Izzy’s initial connection with Johnie Maraist and Stacy’s insistence on a certain lifestyle (she really didn’t want paper plates!), Stacy ultimately decided not to marry Izzy because he wasn’t truthful about his financial history.
Even though the wedding didn’t happen, Stacy still wanted to stay with Izzy, who was heartbroken.
“We’re at different spots,” he told her. “It really breaks my heart.”
Stacy appreciated Izzy helping her become more open with her feelings, but she wasn’t completely sure about their future together. She said she needed to be absolutely certain before committing to a lifelong relationship, and ‘fairly certain’ just wasn’t enough.
Izzy is now dating surgical assistant Shelby Webb.

The only bright spot from season five faded when Lydia revealed in June 2025, during an appearance on fellow cast member AD Smith’s podcast What’s the Reality, that she was divorcing Milton after less than three years of marriage.
She explained it wasn’t a single event, but rather a buildup of problems. When she informed him she’d tell him when the divorce papers were finalized, he said he wouldn’t sign them without a non-disclosure agreement.
She explained that she decided to go public with the news because she’d been holding it in for too long. She felt it was important to share what she’d been going through, as staying silent had become unbearable.
Lydia stated that while they were married, several women accused her husband, Milton, 26, of excessively flirting with them and buying them drinks at bars. Milton denied these accusations, but instead of addressing them, he questioned why Lydia would even consider the rumors to be true.

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve seen it time and time again – sometimes the most different couples seem perfect together, and that’s exactly what it looked like with Paul and Micah all season long. But things took a heartbreaking turn at their wedding! Micah, picking up on Paul’s uncertainty, bravely asked him to go first with his vows…and he ultimately said no to marriage. It was a really tough moment, and a reminder that attraction isn’t always enough.
“I feel awful,” Micah admitted. “If Paul had proposed, I definitely would have accepted.”
Oh my gosh, at the reunion, Paul actually apologized! Can you believe it? He finally said sorry for that awful thing he said in his private interview – about how he couldn’t picture Micah as a mom. I was so relieved he addressed it, even if it was way overdue. It just felt…right, you know?
Paul admitted he hadn’t been fair in what he said to her. He clarified that his real concern is he doesn’t envision them having children together.
Although they got back together for a short time after filming finished, Paul and Micah eventually couldn’t resolve their issues. Paul shared that their final split happened when he went to visit Micah in Arizona.
On the show After the Altar, Paul shared that he was seeing someone new – a woman who loves to travel and appreciates his cooking. He later publicly confirmed their relationship on Instagram with Geneva Dunham, who works as an eyelash technician.

Even though Kwame’s mother didn’t come to the wedding and he had some questionable chats with Micah – someone he’d gotten close to during the show – Kwame and Chelsea were still one of the three couples who got married at the end of season four.
At the reunion, Chelsea shared that she’d finally met her husband’s mother. Kwame also apologized to his wife and her family for how he acted, explaining that his conversations with Micah hadn’t been his best moment.
The couple is living in Seattle with their beloved dog Rocky.

Okay, so everyone says love is blind, but seriously? It took Zack getting engaged to Irina Solomonova and then, get this, breaking up with her on vacation in Mexico for him to finally see he’d made a mistake! I mean, can you believe it? It took all of that for him to realize she wasn’t the one. It’s just…wow. I always knew he’d figure it out eventually, but still!
Despite initial challenges and objections from Bliss’ father, the couple reconciled and happily got married. They even shared a special first dance as husband and wife to Lee Ann Womack’s “I Hope You Dance” – the song that originally brought them together during their time in the pods.
Following the final episode, Zack posted a picture of him and his partner on Instagram, writing “Eternal Bliss” in the caption.
The couple announced they were expecting their first child in November 2023 and welcomed their daughter, Galileo Terri Rayne Goytowski, in April 2024.

It’s been a while – not since Cameron Hamilton and Lauren Speed in season one – have we seen a Love Is Blind couple that felt so perfectly matched!
Tiffany, 36, and Brett, 37, were the oldest couple in the experiment and still managed to get married, despite a last-minute wardrobe mishap when Brett’s pants didn’t fit! A big thanks to seamstress Lucia for saving the day!
Since filming wrapped, Tiffany and Brett moved to Portland and are still perfect! Phew!

After SK said “I don’t” at their wedding, he and Raven seemingly parted ways.
Once the show stopped filming, the exes got back together and surprised everyone by announcing they were dating again at the season three reunion.
A month later, the couple announced their separation following claims of infidelity by SK. In a November social media post, SK and Raven explained they couldn’t share further details due to ongoing legal issues, and asked for privacy during this difficult time. They thanked their followers for supporting their relationship.

Viewers were shocked and disappointed when Jackie decided to reconnect with Josh Demas, the other man she had a connection with in the pods, before breaking up with her fiancé, Marshall.
During the reunion, Jackie clarified what happened with her relationships. She explained, “I ended things with Marshall before I even met Josh at the coffee shop. It might seem like I was unfaithful, but I wasn’t.”
Jackie explained that while she takes responsibility for her part in the breakup, she and Marshall simply weren’t a good match and weren’t meant to stay together.
Jackie and Josh were still a couple and sharing a home during the After the Altar series. However, in September 2023, Jackie revealed on Instagram Live that they had split up.
Marshall shared with TopMob that he and fellow contestant Kacia Clark connected briefly after the show ended. However, he decided to create some distance for himself from the whole experience, and things didn’t work out. “We tried,” he said, “But I just needed to move on.”
Okay, so you guys, I’m completely losing it! Marshall from After the Altar finally confirmed it – he and Dr. Chay Barnes have been together for a whole year! A YEAR! And get this – he said he wants to be with her forever! I nearly screamed when I heard they got engaged in December 2023. They are seriously the cutest, and I’m already planning their wedding in my head!
