Blind Side Actor Quinton Aaron on Life Support After Hospitalization

Quinton Aaron‘s health has taken a difficult turn.

Quinton Aaron, the actor who famously portrayed Michael Oher in the 2009 movie The Blind Side, is currently on life support. He was hospitalized four days ago after collapsing at his home, according to his wife, Margarita, in a report from TMZ on January 26th.

Margarita reported that she took 41-year-old Quinton to the hospital after he lost feeling in his legs and fell while climbing the stairs. Doctors discovered he had a blood infection, and are continuing to investigate the cause.

I’m holding onto hope for Quinton, even though he’s on life support. Margarita told me he’s not completely reliant on the machines – he’s still doing some of the work breathing on his own, which is a really positive sign. It gives me a lot of strength knowing that.

Margarita described Quinton as strong and determined, saying he’s making great progress. She and others are praying for his complete recovery.

TopMob News reached out to a rep for Quinton for comment but has not heard back.

Quinton has spoken about his health issues before. He previously revealed in March that he’d been hospitalized with a fever and a cough that included blood.

Quinton previously told TMZ that doctors in Southern California tested him and suspected he had the flu (Type A) and pneumonia.

In 2019, the actor from Halfway was hospitalized again, this time with a respiratory infection and a worsening case of bronchitis.

He soon announced that he had fully recovered from an illness he’d been battling for the last two months.

Aaron shared in a now-deleted Instagram video that he was feeling better and heading home to rest. He explained he needed to take his medication and was exhausted after a sleepless night, disturbed by people entering his room at all hours.

Brie Bella, known from Total Bellas, shared that one of her breast implants moved after being hit during an elbow strike from wrestler Piper Niven in a match that took place in July 2025.

I remember when she told Bella, her sister, that everything would be alright. She was so determined! She actually told the doctor, ‘As soon as my divorce is final and I’m done with my career, I’m coming back to you and we’re going to make sure these girls look amazing. They deserve to be shown off properly, and they will be!’ It was so inspiring to hear her talk about giving them the attention they deserved and making them really shine.

Lupita Nyong’o, known for her role in 12 Years a Slave, received a diagnosis of uterine fibroids—non-cancerous growths in or around the uterus—in 2014, the same year she won an Academy Award for her performance in the film.

She didn’t share her diagnosis until 2025, when she revealed on Instagram that she had been privately struggling with it for over ten years.

She explained that growing up, many of us are taught to accept period pain as a normal part of being female. This often leaves us dealing with a common issue in silence and feeling isolated.

In July 2025, the actress from Daisy Jones & The Six revealed she’d been hospitalized for a hernia. This happened because she had been wearing pants that were too tight, which caused a gap to form in her abdominal muscles.

Someone messaged Suki on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, asking why she hadn’t tweeted in a while. The message jokingly revealed a surprising reason for her silence: she claimed a pair of very tight pants she wore six months ago caused a hernia, and she’s been afraid to mention it.

In April 2025, the former star of Beverly Hills, 90210 shared that he was recovering from surgery to repair a nearly ruptured appendix.

So, I recently had a bit of a health scare I wanted to share. Last week, I started experiencing some stomach pain, and it ended up sending me to the ER. Turns out, my appendix had a perforation – it wasn’t quite burst, but it was very close! It was definitely a wake-up call to prioritize my well-being.

He added, “I’m on the road to recovery. It’s not an easy process. This is my first major surgery.”

A Racing Louisville midfielder fell to the ground early in her team’s game against Seattle Reign on September 14th at Lumen Field in Seattle.

According to Reuters, the U.S. Women’s National Team player was seen slowly sitting down on the field with a teammate supporting her, just before she collapsed. Trainers were immediately called to assess her condition.

Savannah received immediate medical attention on the field and was taken to a nearby hospital for more tests, according to a statement from the National Women’s Soccer League. They reported that she is currently in stable condition and is alert.

As someone who’s always focused on well-being, I find it fascinating—and sometimes sobering—how past experiences can truly shape our present. I recently learned that actor Adam Devine is still dealing with the effects of a pretty serious accident he had as a child—he was hit by a cement truck when he was just 11! It’s a reminder that even things that happened a long time ago can continue to impact our bodies and lives.

“It’s been a really difficult time,” Devine shared on the In Depth With Graham Bensinger podcast in 2025. “I’ve been experiencing spasms all over my body, and doctors actually told me last year that my condition was life-threatening.”

He mentioned that his pain is intermittent, explaining that his body has some minor imperfections and doesn’t always function as expected.

The former Bachelor contestant said he had to crawl to the hospital because of severe back pain that got worse during a road trip with a friend.

He described a strange tingling sensation that still lingered in his knees and toes as of a March 2025 podcast episode of Trading Secrets. To give some context, he explained that just a few weeks or a month prior, he was able to squat 295 pounds. Now, he can’t even do a squat, struggles with single-leg squats, and falls over. He compared the feeling to having had a stroke.

But with the help of a back specialist and some steroids, he added, “We’re on the mend.”

Gina Kirschenheiter, from The Real Housewives of Orange County, revealed that her ex-husband, Matt Kirschenheiter, had a heart attack in March 2025, but he is now recovering.

The comedian later posted on social media to explain that he hadn’t been feeling well due to food poisoning, but was starting to feel better.

In February 2025, the former Even Stevens star revealed she was shot in the face during a birthday outing with her husband, Brendan Rooney. They were on a trip to go clay pigeon shooting when the incident occurred.

In an Instagram post, she explained that she was accidentally shot in the face by someone at a party. They fired a weapon unsafely, and she was hit five times. One bullet came dangerously close to her right eye. Thankfully, @thebrendanrooney quickly helped, checked her condition, and rushed her to the hospital.

The former Kim Possible star shared that a small piece of something got stuck behind their eye. Doctors have advised against removing it with surgery right now, and they’ll be keeping a close watch on the situation, but thankfully, their vision is currently normal.

The actress expressed immense gratitude for surviving. She shared how much she cherishes her daughters, husband, family, and friends, explaining that experiencing a near-death moment made her realize how quickly life can change. She urged everyone to embrace their loved ones and show them affection whenever possible.

Amy Schumer is grateful for the internet, even though it can be harsh, because it helped her figure out what was wrong with her health. After noticing she looked “puffier,” she was surprised to see doctors commenting on interviews, suggesting she might have Cushing syndrome – a condition often linked to high cortisol levels or steroid injections. This prompted her to realize she’d been receiving steroid injections for procedures like a breast reduction and C-section. She wouldn’t have connected the dots without the online comments. Thankfully, doctors determined she has a form of Cushing syndrome that will resolve on its own, which she described as the “greatest news imaginable.” She shared this update in a February 2024 newsletter, relieved to be healthy.

During a game in December 2024, an AHL player was accidentally cut in the face by another player’s skate and needed 25 stitches. After his son made a full recovery, New Jersey Devils General Manager Tom Fitzgerald told ESPN how relieved they were, saying, “We feel very lucky, and I wouldn’t want any parent to go through that.”

In March 2022, Hailey Bieber experienced a frightening health scare while having breakfast with her husband, Justin Bieber. She suddenly started having stroke-like symptoms, unable to speak and experiencing drooping on the right side of her face. Although these symptoms eventually passed, she went to the hospital for evaluation. Doctors discovered she had a small blood clot in her brain, which they identified as a TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack). Further testing at UCLA revealed Hailey had a hole in her heart called a patent foramen ovale (PFO). This hole allowed the blood clot to travel to her brain, causing the TIA. Hailey has since undergone a successful procedure to close the PFO and is now doing well.

The same year Hailey faced a health issue, Justin also experienced one. In June 2022, he revealed he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which caused temporary paralysis on one side of his face. This forced him to cancel the remaining dates of his Justice World Tour.

In a video posted to Instagram, Justin explained the condition affected the nerves in his ear and face, preventing him from blinking, smiling, or moving his nostril on the affected side. He also shared that it was becoming increasingly difficult for him to eat.

Fortunately, the paralysis eventually subsided. Hailey shared on Good Morning America that Justin was recovering well and feeling much better, adding that they were grateful he was going to be okay after what she described as a frightening and unexpected situation.

Jamie Foxx kept his April 2023 hospitalization private at first, but he later shared what happened. He explained that he was in Atlanta and had a terrible headache. He asked someone for aspirin, but passed out before he could take it, and doesn’t remember the next 20 days.

Initially, a doctor gave him a cortisone shot and sent him home. However, his sister, Deidra Dixon, was worried and took him to the hospital, where they discovered he’d had a brain bleed that caused a stroke.

After surgery, Jamie woke up in a wheelchair on May 4th, unable to walk. He then went to Chicago for rehabilitation and therapy. He expressed his gratitude for all the prayers he received, saying he needed every single one.

The reality TV star shared that she temporarily stopped breathing while running a mile during the first challenge on the NBC competition show.

She shared on the show Fit for TV: The Reality of The Biggest Loser that her memory of the event was fragmented. She recalled hearing a helicopter, feeling like she was floating, and then seeing her grandfather. After that, everything went dark, but she then saw light, which led her to realize she had died that day.

She explained that her organs were failing. She hadn’t known she had rhabdomyolysis, a condition where the body essentially starts to shut down.

Emilia Clarke, known for her role in Game of Thrones, revealed a harrowing health battle in a 2019 essay for The New Yorker. While filming the show, she experienced a sudden, severe headache while at the gym. She described collapsing and being violently ill, quickly realizing something was seriously wrong with her brain.

A hospital scan revealed she had suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage, a life-threatening stroke caused by a ruptured aneurysm. She immediately underwent surgery to repair it, but the pain was excruciating. During her recovery, she experienced aphasia, leaving her unable to speak clearly.

Though the aphasia eventually passed and she was discharged after a month, a 2013 scan revealed the aneurysm had grown and required a second surgery. This surgery was unsuccessful, leading to a major bleed and a dire prognosis. Doctors had to perform a more invasive procedure, accessing her brain directly through her skull.

Fortunately, Emilia is now fully recovered and says she is “at a hundred per cent.”

Cori Broadus, Snoop Dogg’s daughter, recently shared her gratitude for her family’s support after she suffered a stroke in January 2024. She immediately reached out to them, sending a text and photo, and they quickly came to her aid, as she told TopMob News’ Will Marfuggi in December 2024. While she could have been discharged after the stroke, Cori ended up staying in the hospital longer due to complications with lupus and kidney issues. Thankfully, Cori is now recovering well. She says she’s doing great and has been working to regain some motor skills, but is otherwise feeling fine.

Shailene Woodley struggled with significant health issues throughout her early twenties. In a September 2024 podcast interview, she revealed she experienced hearing loss, extreme fatigue – unable to walk for more than five minutes without needing hours of rest – and persistent stomach pain. She faced confusion due to conflicting diagnoses from different doctors. Determined to find answers, Woodley, who prefers to keep her specific condition private, combined traditional medical care with holistic and herbal remedies. This search for well-being lasted a decade. She explained that the physical discomfort led to anxieties around food and ultimately, struggles with body image, identity, and feeling comfortable in her own body. Fortunately, after years of addressing both her physical and mental health, Shailene is now healthy and doing well. She expressed gratitude for being able to say that her health issues have resolved themselves.
