Next week on Coronation Street, the Webster family is facing a lot of stress as Debbie (Sue Devaney) braces herself for a prison sentence, despite being innocent of the crime she’s accused of.
She’s now facing a difficult conversation with Carl, who she calls ‘brother,’ and he’s demanding to know why she’s been making excuses for her. Debbie eventually reveals a shocking truth: she’s actually his mother. The big question is, how will Carl react to this surprising news?
Meanwhile, Kevin (Michael Le Vell) hits an all time low and ascends to the roof of the garage.
Okay, so things are getting really tense on the street! Poor Todd Grimshaw is totally stranded and broke, and it’s clear Jodie Ramsey is keeping a secret. But the weirdest thing? Bernie seems super nervous around this new electrician, Mal – something’s definitely up with him, and it’s making her act strange!

1. Carl Webster learns that Debbie is his mum ahead of her sentencing
Debbie expects to be fired soon and asks Ryan to manage Chariot Square while she’s gone. Carl is angry, feeling he should have been chosen for the job instead.
He feels overwhelming guilt after accidentally hearing Summer and Nina talk. He’s haunted by the fact that he falsely accused Debbie, and he believes Billy might still be alive if he hadn’t driven drunk.
Things got even more difficult when Ronnie explained that his wife’s mental state would likely worsen faster if she were imprisoned.
I was completely captivated by what happened next! Carl, finally wanting to do the right thing, went to Debbie and confessed he was the driver. But she shocked me by saying she already knew – she just didn’t want to get him in trouble. I didn’t understand her reasoning at first, until she revealed a bombshell – a secret that completely changed everything! It was a huge revelation, and I couldn’t believe it.
How will Carl react when he learns Debbie is his mum?
Just before her court date, she was upset to discover Carl’s keys to her apartment had been left with Ryan at the hotel front desk. This devastated her, and she immediately decided to find her son.
She desperately wants him to come to court with her, telling him his support would mean everything. But when it’s time for him to testify, he’s absent.
Debbie receives her sentence, but how long will she be behind bars for?
2. Todd Grimshaw is left penniless in Theo Silverton’s absence
Todd is worried about making it through the day with only £10, especially since Theo is away visiting his mother. The situation gets even more difficult when George realizes he’s left his wallet at home and asks Todd to pay for their cafe visit, creating an awkward moment.
Having no choice, Todd paid the ten pounds and refused George’s invitation for a drink at the Rovers. To top it off, Theo announced he’d be staying the night and didn’t have anything to eat.
I always picture him during those lazy summer days, wandering around empty shops, maybe just popping in to grab groceries. Then, he’ll send Theo a voice note, usually because he’s completely out of money! It’s a funny little habit of his.

Honestly, it really bothered me when he lashed out at Sarah. She was just politely asking for the ten pounds he’d pledged to Harry’s sponsored walk, and he just snapped at her. It felt so unnecessary and a bit harsh, you know?
3. Bernie Winter-Alahan is uncomfortable as Mal looms over her
Bernie is uncomfortable when Mal arrives to fix the cafe’s electricals and tries to recommend someone else to Roy. However, Roy refuses, explaining he feels obligated to give Mal the work because he played a role in Mal’s divorce.
She quickly whispered something to him, and he promised to keep their secret and leave once he finished his work at number 16a.
Despite his reservations, Bernie had to rely on Mal’s assistance when work became especially demanding the following day.
4. Kevin Webster spirals as the family stage an intervention
Debbie organizes a meeting with Sally, Tim, Abi, and Tyrone, hoping they can help Kevin with his issues. Kevin gets angry, but agrees to attend just to prove he’s fine and doesn’t need their intervention.
When Jack returns home to the Webster house, he finds it in disarray and no food, so he goes back to school. He asks Abi if he can stay with her family for a few days to give his dad some time alone, which deeply upsets Kevin.
He’s consumed with guilt when he pulls a dirty ‘World’s Best Dad’ mug out of the kitchen sink.
The next day, Brian went to the garage and noticed the roof was leaking. A bottle of vodka fell, just missing him, before someone climbed onto the roof.
As the neighbours stare up at him, Abi follows his path and attempts to help him down.
5. Jodie Ramsey keeps another secret from Shona Platt
Shona is determined to figure out why Jodie has been acting so strangely. She gets a phone number for their father from an old friend of his, Bernard.
Unaware to her, Jodie overhears everything and quickly calls Bernard, asking for help. She then hurries out to Tim’s taxi, leaving Shona and David wondering where she’s going.
When she returns to No. 8, she checks nobody’s about before pulling something from her bag.
