5 EastEnders spoilers next week: Shock proposal amid wedding drama for Nigel and Julie Bates

EastEnders fans are in for a dramatic week! Vicki Fowler is stunned when Ross Marshall unexpectedly proposes marriage.

She’s shocked and reveals a huge secret, but will she finally admit how she truly feels about Zack Hudson (James Farrar)?

Just before Nigel and Julie Bates renew their wedding vows, Phil Mitchell receives some good news: there’s an available spot for his friend at the care home.

Meanwhile, Bea Pollard gets up to no good and discovers some secrets about the Panesars. Patrick Trueman is determined to find out what’s been going on, and Ravi Gulati is desperate to prevent his son, Nugget, from finding out about the attack he experienced.

Here’s a look at everything happening in EastEnders between Monday, 2nd and Thursday, 5th February.

1. Ross Marshall proposes to Vicki Fowler

After the drama of Joel’s trial, Ross is starting fresh by opening his own handyman business. He’s hoping to reconnect with Vicki, but doesn’t realize she’s focused on something—or someone—else.

At the Boxing Den, a spark ignites between her and Zack, and Mark sees it happen. Concerned for his sister’s happiness, Mark later notices Ross leaving a jewelry store. Zack overhears their conversation.

Mark later tells Vicki that Ross plans to propose, but she’s caught up watching Zack bring a woman back to his apartment.

When he finally gets down on one knee, she drops a bombshell – and answers are demanded.

2. Bea Pollard ruffles feathers with the Panesars

Today is Bea’s first day at the Minute Mart, and Honey is showing her the ropes.

When Vinny and Nugget show up, Bea is upset by how they treat their employees. The situation quickly deteriorates – Honey injures her back, and Suki behaves rudely, further shocking Bea.

Okay, so things got a little crazy at work today. I was talking with Bea, and she was adamant that her new boyfriend should sue the Panesars over her injury. Then, she somehow convinced Honey to have some wine at work – can you believe it? As Honey had a bit more to drink, she finally spilled that Suki actually made a move on her years ago! It was a total bombshell, and honestly, I’m still processing it all.

3. Phil Mitchell hides information from Julie Bates on the day of her vow renewal

Nigel is upset after Julie decided he should move from Phil’s house to Peacock Palace. Linda sees he’s struggling and asks Phil to be there for Julie, not realizing they had a disagreement.

She notices Julie seems exhausted and kindly offers to stay with Nigel so Julie can have some time to herself. However, Nigel gets upset at the idea of being left alone and unintentionally injures Julie, which Linda witnesses, and later discovers bruises on Julie’s arms.

She tries to help by asking Phil to talk to Nige, but is stunned when Phil reveals he’s planning to take Nige to Portugal. Instead, she offers to plan a vow renewal ceremony for the Bates family, but only if Phil isn’t allowed to come.

Unbeknownst to them, Nigel has been offered a spot at a care home, and he only has 24 hours to decide. He keeps this news to himself, not sharing it with Julie.

As Nigel and Julie get ready to renew their vows, Nigel mistakenly assumes Phil will be his best man. This upsets Phil, who decides he’ll take Nigel to the wedding and then leave.

4. Zoe Slater is unnerved by Patrick Trueman’s claims about Jasmine Fisher

Jasmine is missing, and Oscar is frantically trying to find her. Patrick happened to hear Oscar talking to Kat, and realized Kat was hesitant to tell Zoe because she didn’t want to worry her.

With Anthony’s funeral coming up quickly, he’s already dealing with a lot. When Kim and Denise offer to help, he asks them to specifically work on getting permission for him to visit Zoe so he can speak with her privately.

Kat learns about Patrick’s intentions and pleads with him not to involve her. However, Patrick is resolute and goes to see Zoe in jail, where she shares information that confirms his suspicions without causing him further pain.

When he makes a cryptic comment about Jasmine, she’s unnerved and suspicious.

That night, Patrick drove home deeply upset by what Zoe had said about his son. He struggled with how to come to terms with the negative image she’d created.

5. Nugget Gulati edges closer to the truth about his attack

Priya is continuing to try and help Ravi and Nugget resolve their issues. She thinks getting their son a car to learn to drive might be a good way to bring them closer.

Barney, curious about Priya’s accusation that Nicola and Harry were behind the attack, goes to talk to them. They strongly deny any involvement, but Barney remains convinced something isn’t right.

He starts talking to Avani about Nugget’s memories, not realizing Nugget is secretly listening and has figured out the Mitchells were the ones who hurt him.

Barney has no idea what happened, so Nugget takes the lead in trying to figure it out. Priya and Ravi are worried when the Mitchells support the story they’ve made up, hoping to shield their teenage child from the complete truth.
