Jade from The Traitors reveals which video games she played in preparation – and it’s not the one you’d expect

Jade Scott reached the final round of The Traitors season 4, and often talked about her background in video games during the show’s interviews.

We at TopMob Gaming were excited to chat with Jade and learn about the games she played to get ready.

Interestingly, Jade didn’t include Among Us—a game often compared to The Traitors—among her favorite games, explaining that she thinks it’s a little too simple.

What did she play, then?

Jade explained that she’d been playing a lot of games where players try to trick each other, like Project Winter, which is a unique one she enjoyed.

Project Winter is a survival game for eight players. You’ll have to brave harsh winter conditions and figure out who among your group is secretly trying to sabotage everyone else.

Jade admitted she’d never gotten into Among Us, finding it a little too silly. However, she’d been really enjoying Dale & Dawson, which she described as lighthearted and fun.

Dale & Dawson: Stationary Supplies is a game for 4 to 21 players where managers and specialists identify and dismiss underperforming team members.

And did Jade find that her gaming experience really helped in the castle?

You know, as a gamer, I totally get what Jade’s saying. A big part of gaming, especially when you’re playing with others, is just talking. Whether it’s chatting with your friends or coordinating with random teammates, you’re constantly communicating to work together.

That was really helpful, particularly when I was presenting at the roundtables. It’s one thing to deliver a speech, but quite another to review a recording of yourself – seeing it back was surprisingly valuable.

You know, I was throwing rocks, and I actually managed to hit a vase with one! I guess that’s when I really felt my hand-eye coordination kicking in – it was a surprisingly accurate throw, honestly.

Since returning from The Traitors castle, however, Jade’s gaming habits have changed a little.

She explained that after her recent experience, she felt the need to step back from games that involve a lot of social maneuvering and trickery. Right now, she’s really enjoying playing smaller, independent games instead.

I recently completed Outer Wilds, and I’ve been really into games with intricate stories and puzzles ever since. I’m also having fun playing Chants of Sennaar.

Outer Wilds is a sci-fi adventure game where you’re stuck in a time loop. You play as a space explorer trying to unravel a mystery, but you’ll die and restart the loop often as you do.

Chants of Sennaar is a game centered around language, challenging players to solve a puzzle by deciphering different languages.
