EastEnders airs passionate infidelity scenes amid major love triangle in early BBC iPlayer release

EastEnders is famous for its dramatic love triangles, and a new one started unfolding in tonight’s episode.

We’re talking about Vicki Fowler (played by Alice Haig), who finds herself caught between her boyfriend, Ross Marshall (Alex Walkinshaw), and Zack Hudson (James Farrar), who shares a family connection with her adoptive sister.

Vicki and Ross hadn’t spoken for months. Their relationship fell apart after Ross’s teenage son, Joel Marshall (played by Max Murray), violently attacked Vicki. This happened because Joel had become involved with a harmful online group that promoted hatred towards women.

He’s since been locked up in a young offenders institute, awaiting his trial.

Honestly, it was hard for me to see Vicki and Ross working out at first. Even if Joel moved on, I just felt like he’d always be in the picture for them, you know? It felt like he’d always be a part of their lives, no matter what.

Zack arrived and offered some helpful advice, which led to a kiss between the two of them. However, their aunt, Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth), unexpectedly walked in on them.

Vicki felt terrible because Ross had just decided he wanted to try again with her. He asked for another chance, and she agreed, but only if they moved forward cautiously.

Zack noticed Vicki seemed a little down today, so he invited her over to his place to try out some new recipes he was developing for The Vic.

As he filled their wine glasses, Vicki sank into the sofa, and the tension between them immediately flared up. They started talking about their pasts, with Vicki claiming she had no regrets, while Zack confessed he wished he’d focused on his son, Barney Mitchell (Lewis Bridgeman), instead of trying to date so many women.

We started talking about Joel again, and I admitted I was really worried he might actually get away with everything. I just don’t have much faith in the system, and it honestly scared me to think he could walk free.

Meanwhile, at The Vic, her brother Mark (Stephen Aaron-Sipple) clashed with Ross again.

Unexpectedly, the men decided to stop fighting and agreed to a truce. Ross assured Vicki he would protect her, as he cared for her deeply.

But was the feeling mutual?

Returning to Zack’s apartment, they quickly began undressing each other, completely disregarding a phone call from Ross before going into the bedroom.
