The Traitors season 4 winner Rachel Duffy “heartbroken” after “beautiful” mother dies days after finale

Rachel Duffy, winner of The Traitors season 4, recently announced the passing of her mother, only a few days after being crowned champion with Stephen Libby.

Rachel shared the heartbreaking news on Instagram that her mother has passed away. She asked for privacy for the family as they mourn.

Throughout the show, Rachel often said she’d use her winnings to take her mother on vacation.

Before the finale, Rachel was asked what she’d do if she won. She said she’d want to spend time making memories with her loved ones, especially her mum, who has dementia and dreams of taking a trip like she used to with her father before he passed away.

She doesn’t ask for much. I simply want to enjoy the time I have with her and make lasting memories, and also with my children, who adore their nanny.

Stephen and Rachel were crowned the winners of The Traitors season 4! They each took home £47,875 after successfully navigating the final roundtables by staying loyal to each other.

After winning, Rachel told BBC News Northern Ireland she planned to use the prize money to treat her family, especially her mother.

She said she’s up for anything, as long as she can provide for her family, which is her top priority.
