Coronation Street abuser Theo Silverton caught making bold admission about Billy Mayhew’s death in ITVX release

Please be aware that this article discusses sensitive topics like domestic abuse and controlling behavior, which may be disturbing for some readers.

Theo Silverton, played by James Cartwright, might finally be facing someone who can stand up to him on Coronation Street, which could mean the end of his abusive behavior towards Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce).

Theo and his partner had a difficult beginning because Theo revealed he’d undergone conversion therapy, which led to him struggling with accepting his own sexuality.

Despite everything, Todd was completely captivated and didn’t notice the worrying shifts in his own behavior that were starting to appear.

Things escalated when Theo violently attacked Todd, smashing his face into a mirror. He then forced Todd into a grueling workout plan and became increasingly unpredictable.

Todd tried to investigate by buying picture frames with hidden cameras, but his plan failed. Neighbors heard noise coming from his apartment and alerted the police.

Theo pretended to be hurt, dramatically falling over the coffee table. Later, back at home, he realized someone had been recording him.

Things started to look up for Todd when his former boyfriend, Billy Mayhew, noticed he had several bruises.

Before Billy could help Todd escape the abuse, he was killed in a car crash. While driving a minibus, he collided with several other vehicles, which then exploded. In his final moments, Theo fastened Billy’s seatbelt, trapping him inside.

Theo feels terrible, witnessing Todd and Summer Spellman mourn a man he could have saved but instead left to die.

Today, the three of them met at Preston’s Petals to look at the flowers prepared for the funeral. Summer suddenly started to cry, and Todd realized with difficulty that the event was happening very soon.

The group quickly found Bishop Greg Townsend (Roger Bingham), and Theo wanted to talk to him about a few things that were bothering him.

He honestly shared his feelings of guilt, and the Bishop explained that he seemed to be experiencing survivor’s guilt, reminding him not to blame himself. The Bishop also suggested he try talking to God about what was troubling him.

That afternoon, Theo visited the funeral home and agreed to watch over it while George Shuttleworth quickly went to the garage nearby.

This was a chance for him to be alone with Billy’s coffin and finally express his remorse for not saving him.

He had no idea anyone was eavesdropping nearby. Suddenly, a door slammed shut, and a worried Theo bolted outside to see what happened.

Carl Webster (Jonathan Howard) was secretly watching, and now that he has this information, it’s unclear what he’ll do next – and whether Theo is in danger.

Coronation Street airs weeknights at 8.30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
