After being previewed at last year’s RuneFest, the next version of Deadman Mode, called Deadman: Annihilation, is now launching in Old School RuneScape.
DMM Annihilation is the newest version of a hugely popular, temporary game mode from Jagex. It lets players who enjoy player-versus-player combat battle each other freely for a limited time.
2026 is a big year for OSRS, with Leagues 6 to look forward to later this year as well.
If you’re looking forward to the start of the DMM: Annihilation update in Old School RuneScape, here’s the information you need about when it will be released.
OSRS Deadman: Annihilation – Release date and start time for DMM Annihilation explained
Deadman: Annihilation is scheduled to begin on Friday 30th January 2026 in Old School RuneScape.
This start date was confirmed in the recent Winter Summit that took place on 25th January.
While Jagex hasn’t given a specific start time, we expect DMM Annihilation to begin around 5 or 6 PM GMT.
The newest versions of DMM are now launching, and Jagex usually releases them in the evening in the UK so players can start playing right away.
For those of you around the world, here’s what 5/6pm GMT looks like in your time zone:
- US West Coast (PST) – 9/10am
- US Mountain (MST) – 10/11am
- US Central (CST) – 11am/12pm
- US East Coast (EST) – 12/1pm
- Brazil (BRT) – 2/3pm
- Central Europe (CET) – 6/7pm
- Singapore (SGT) – 1/2am, 31st January
- Australia East Coast (AEDT) – 4/5am, 31st January
- New Zealand (NZDT) – 6/7am, 31st January
When does DMM Annihilation end in OSRS?
Deadman: Annihilation will come to an end in OSRS on 20th February 2026.
Although you won’t be able to earn points after that date, the event isn’t over yet! Players can still participate in the DMM Annihilation Finale.
On February 21st at 6 PM GMT, players will be able to compete against others in their skill level.
If you complete DMM Annihilation, you’ll earn some cool new items for use in the game. Just a heads-up, there won’t be any real-world prizes this year.
