Corey Harrison is on the mend.
Rick Harrison from Pawn Stars recently revealed he was in a motorcycle accident that left him with 11 broken ribs and required a three-night hospital stay.
Corey shared photos of his injuries on Instagram on January 26th, saying he’d been in a crash but was okay. He credited the crash bars on his bike with helping to protect him, writing, “Crash bars are awesome.”
After detailing his injuries, the 42-year-old announced he’d be discussing the incident on his podcast, The Corey Harrison Show. He sadly told his father, Rick Harrison, and Pawn Stars colleague that he would unfortunately have to miss the wedding, saying, “Sorry Pops, looks like I’m missing it.”
A representative for Corey told Entertainment Weekly that Rick has already visited, and Corey is expected to make a full recovery. However, he will need to rest in bed for six weeks to heal.
Corey’s accident happened just weeks after his father, Rick, announced he had married Agripina “Angie” Polushkin in a Las Vegas wedding on January 3rd.
Rick explained to People magazine that they had a small, celebratory wedding in the US before their larger wedding planned for Cancun. They wanted something more than just a courthouse ceremony.
Because Rick mentioned close friends and family were at the wedding, Corey might have at least witnessed his dad get married.
The couple shared their excitement about beginning their married life together and celebrating with loved ones in Las Vegas, as well as at their wedding ceremony later this month.

As someone who follows celebrity wellness closely, I’ve noticed a concerning pattern: even those who seem to have it all aren’t immune to serious hardship. Take Jeremy Renner, the Marvel star – he recently shared the details of his terrifying 2023 snowplow accident, which resulted in an incredible 30 broken bones and was almost fatal. It’s a stark reminder that life can change in an instant for anyone.
Jeremy confessed on the May 2025 episode of Kelly Ripa’s Let’s Talk Off Camera podcast that he initially didn’t want to return, and he was very angry when he was brought back.
After fully recovering, Jeremy said the experience ultimately improved his life.
He said he focuses on nurturing love and the relationships where he’s felt it, because those are the only things that truly last.

In February 2017, Jamie Lynn Spears’ daughter, Maddie Aldridge, then eight years old, was riding an ATV near their home in Louisiana when it overturned into a pond. She was underwater for several minutes before being rescued.
Jamie Lynn remembered thinking her daughter had died when she was pulled from the water and first responders took over. She shared this on the 2020 Better Together podcast with Maria Menounos, saying they ‘thought we’d lost our daughter’.
Although the extent of her injuries was initially unknown, Maddie regained consciousness and was able to speak within two days. She was back to her everyday life just a few weeks later.
Jamie Lynn shared that she feels incredibly fortunate to have her daughter back, explaining she experienced the pain of losing her and then the joy of being reunited.

An accidental mishap on the set of Rebel Wilson and Anna Camp’s upcoming 2025 action comedy, Bride Hard, left Rebel Wilson with a split nose. During a fight scene on her final day of filming, she was struck in the face by a prop gun. “It was just a freak accident,” Rebel told Access Hollywood in June 2025. “I had to leave the set, and it was my last night of shooting. I couldn’t believe how unlucky I was!”
She described being terrified after the 2023 incident, explaining that she was surrounded by her own blood. An ambulance was called, and a plastic surgeon had to be brought in to prevent permanent scarring. Thankfully, the surgery was successful, and she says you can’t even tell it happened now.

Jimmy Fallon, the host of The Tonight Show, had a scary accident at home. He tripped and fell, and while trying to grab onto a counter to break his fall, his ring caught and nearly ripped his finger off.
Doctors hospitalized him for ten days to try and save his finger after a severe injury, which he called a “ring avulsion,” and prevent amputation.

In June 2025, Zane Wach, a seasoned hiker and multi-sport athlete who competes in running, swimming, and triathlons, almost succumbed to altitude sickness while hiking Mount Whitney in California with his father, Ryan Wach.
The 14-year-old began having hallucinations, but he was aware they weren’t real, Ryan told SFGATE. He described seeing things like snowmen and Kermit the Frog.
As a lifestyle expert, I’ve heard many stories about outdoor adventures gone awry, and this one really hit home. A dad, Ryan, shared how his teen son became dangerously disoriented while hiking back down a trail – he actually had to physically stop him from walking off a cliff, multiple times! Ryan isn’t sure exactly what triggered it, and they’re still trying to figure it out. His best thinking is that it was a perfect storm of things: extreme tiredness, not enough sleep, likely dehydration, and lingering effects from altitude sickness. Basically, his son started to lose touch with what was real, and Ryan had to be incredibly vigilant to keep him safe. It’s a powerful reminder of how quickly things can change when you’re pushing your limits outdoors, and how important it is to prioritize rest, hydration, and being aware of altitude effects.
After two failed attempts to reach Zane, Ryan watched helplessly as his son tumbled about 120 feet down a cliff. It took six hours for a rescue helicopter from Inyo County to arrive and transport Zane to the hospital in Lone Pine, where doctors first stabilized him before transferring him to a specialized pediatric trauma center in Las Vegas. Doctors put Zane into a medically induced coma, but he eventually started breathing independently.
Ryan described his teenager’s recovery from a severe injury – including a head trauma, broken finger, fractured pelvis, and broken ankle – as a long road ahead. ‘It’s going to be a tough journey,’ he said, ‘and we’re still going through it right now.’
On New Year’s Day in 2023, actor Jeremy Renner, known for his role in Avengers, was seriously injured while helping a family member. He was using a snowplow near his Lake Tahoe home to pull a stuck vehicle when he got out to check on it. The snowplow then began to move and Renner was pulled under, resulting in 38 broken bones as he tried to prevent it from hitting his nephew.
In his 2025 memoir, My Next Breath, he described lying on the ice on New Year’s Day, his heartbeat slowing until he simply grew tired. After manually breathing for around thirty minutes – a strenuous effort he compared to doing ten to twenty push-ups every minute for half an hour – he passed away, unbeknownst to his daughter, sisters, friends, or parents.
Despite suffering broken bones, significant blood loss, and the risk of dangerously low body temperature, he believed he had died. He later learned that paramedics found his heart rate had dropped to just 18 beats per minute – a level they considered fatal.

In May 2025, TikTok creator Emilie Kiser and her husband, Brady, experienced every parent’s nightmare when their three-year-old son, Trigg, accidentally fell into their pool at their home in Arizona.
On May 12th, Chandler Police responded to a home after a child was found unconscious in a backyard pool. Police and firefighters immediately began CPR, and the child, identified as Trigg, was taken to Chandler Regional Hospital. Unfortunately, Trigg passed away six days later.
Emilie filed a lawsuit to prevent Maricopa County from releasing details about her husband’s death. The lawsuit explained that she is focused on caring for their two-month-old son, Theodore, and is struggling emotionally every day.

Dr. Cara Hodgson described a family vacation to Thailand as “the worst 10 days” of her life after a December 2023 accident where she was shocked by power lines. She lost consciousness and was taken to the emergency room, then spent the next week and a half in and out of hospitals working to recover and save her life, as she shared in an Instagram post on New Year’s Day. She expressed immense gratitude to still be alive.
You know, as someone who’s always focused on wellness and appreciating the good things, I recently had a reminder that really hit home. Even during a bit of discomfort with my orthodontic treatment, I realized just how incredible it is to simply be alive. It sounds simple, but it’s true! Being able to breathe easily, enjoy food, have a conversation, and just move your body – those aren’t things to take for granted. It’s a real privilege, and something we should all celebrate, especially when we get caught up in the daily grind.

In June 2025, Brazilian tourist Juliana Marins died while hiking on Mount Rinjani, an active volcano in Indonesia. She fell from a cliff, and despite a four-day search by a 48-person team facing difficult weather and terrain, rescuers were only able to recover her body, according to a statement from the Brazilian government.
Juliana Marins has passed away, her family announced on Instagram. The rescue team reached her location today, but sadly, she did not survive. The family expressed their deep gratitude for all the prayers, kind messages, and support they received.

In 2015, actress Tori Spelling, known for her role on Beverly Hills, 90210, accidentally burned her right arm on a hot grill while at an Easter brunch at Benihana. She needed skin grafts and later decided to take legal action against the restaurant.
She revealed on her 2024 podcast, 9021OMG (co-hosted with Jennie Garth), that she received a skin graft from her thigh to cover a severe burn on her arm. She jokingly said, ‘Not many people can say they’re wearing their thigh on their arm,’ explaining that a thin layer of skin from her thigh was used.

Comedian Tony Knight tragically died in June 2024 at the Rock&Cars festival in France when he was struck by falling tree branches. He was 54 years old and enjoying life, according to Joanne Allen, the sister of his partner, Hayley Wright. Allen described Knight as fit, healthy, happy, charismatic, funny, and full of life.
He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. In a heartfelt Instagram post, Haley described him as incredibly talented and capable of anything. She remembered him as a wonderful friend, a devoted dog owner, and, above all, the center of her world, acknowledging that life will never be the same without him.

A company celebration turned tragic in January 2024. During a party in India to launch the 25th anniversary of Chicago software company Vistex, CEO Sanjay Shah and President Vishwanath Raju Datla were suspended in an iron cage intended to descend 20 feet onto a stage. However, two wires broke, causing the cage to fall and crash onto the concrete stage, according to a report in The Times of India.
Sanjay, age 56, died at the hospital after the accident, according to reports. Vishwanath, 52, suffered a serious head injury and sadly died several months later.

In a 2022 Instagram video with UNICEF, Orlando Bloom revealed that when he was 19, he fell three stories from a window and broke his back. He was attempting to climb onto the roof of a building with friends when the drainpipe he was holding onto gave way. Fortunately, he survived with a fractured spine, though he said his spinal cord was narrowly undamaged.
He explained that doctors initially told him he might never walk again during his first four days in the hospital. This was the start of a difficult process of understanding how certain patterns in his life had contributed to a series of accidents, ultimately culminating in a life-threatening back injury.
After leaving the hospital wearing a back brace and dealing with a lot of physical and emotional pain, he immediately started going out to parties – still wearing the brace, he told GQ in 2005. It took a couple of months for him to realize this new reality and decide he wanted to make the most of it.
He said the experience completely changed his perspective on life. “You don’t appreciate things until you almost lose them,” he explained. “I used to be reckless on motorcycles and in cars, acting like I was always racing. It wasn’t about trying to impress anyone, I just loved the thrill of taking risks. But I’ve calmed down a lot since then.”
