Gary Barlow hinted that Robbie Williams might return to Take That, especially now that his recent album has achieved a new milestone.
Robbie Williams, the singer known for his recent role in Better Man, has made history by achieving the most No. 1 albums in the UK. His latest album, Britpop, debuted at the top of the charts, allowing him to break The Beatles’ long-standing record, which was set in 2000.
The new album, Britpop, came out on January 16th and celebrates the popular British pop music of the 1990s. It has already released five singles, one of which, “Rocket,” includes a guest appearance by Tony Iommi, guitarist for Black Sabbath.
Williams now holds the record for the most UK number one albums, with a total of 16. This includes 12 of his own studio albums, three compilation albums of his greatest hits, and the soundtrack from his film, ‘Better Man’. He also had two number one albums as part of the band Take That, but those aren’t included in this new total.

Robbie Williams has had every solo album reach the top of the charts, except for his 2009 release, Reality Killed the Video Star, which was narrowly beaten by the band JLS.
I tuned into the Radio 2 Breakfast Show this morning and was really excited to hear Gary, Mark, and Howard from Take That chatting with Scott Mills. They were on for a full hour, and it was all to celebrate the release of their new documentary – a proper treat for any Take That fan like me!
Besides responding to questions from fans, Take That also celebrated Robbie Williams’ new album. Then, Gary Barlow hinted at a possible reunion, confidently stating that Robbie will rejoin the band at some point.
Gary Barlow told Scott Mills on Radio 2 that he expects something new to happen with the band eventually, and that’s part of what makes being in the group so exciting – you never know what’s next.
Watching this documentary is incredibly moving. It reminds you that we all began in the same place, and it’s astonishing to think about how far we’ve all come. Honestly, it’s just wonderful to see everyone here now – it really is a special feeling.

Take That fans can now watch a new four-part documentary on Netflix. Filmed before and during their ‘This Life on Tour’ concerts, the documentary also includes a brand new song by the band. Plus, Gary Barlow announced on the radio that a new Take That album is expected to be released later this year.
Robbie Williams initially left Take That in 1995, but rejoined them in 2010 to create the album Progress. They celebrated with eight sold-out concerts at Wembley Stadium, earning a record-breaking £38 million. However, in October of the following year, Robbie announced he was leaving the band again to concentrate on his individual music career.
In 2014, Jason Orange also left Take That and retired from the entertainment industry completely.
