New MCU Disney+ TV Show Releases Today, Here’s When to Watch

Tonight marks the premiere of Wonder Man, a new Marvel Studios series on Disney+. Starring Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, known for his roles in Watchmen and Aquaman, the show brings to life a popular character first created by Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, and Don Heck over 60 years ago in The Avengers comics. This is the first time Wonder Man will appear in live-action.

Simon Williams, an up-and-coming actor hoping to make it big in Hollywood, is finding it tough to launch his career. He unexpectedly meets Trevor Slattery, a former star whose best days might be over. They both discover that the iconic director Von Kovak is rebooting the superhero movie Wonder Man. As these two actors, at very different stages in their careers, relentlessly chase roles in the film, the story offers a look at how the entertainment industry really works.

What time will the Wonder Man series drop on Disney+?

Starting tonight, you can watch all eight episodes of Wonder Man on Disney+. The show begins streaming at 9pm Eastern Time / 6pm Pacific Time. Critics have given it great reviews, and it’s already become one of Disney+’s top-rated shows, earning a 90% ‘Fresh’ rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

As a huge MCU fan, I’m really excited about Wonder Man! It’s being directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, who I loved on Shang-Chi, and he’s co-creating the series with Andrew Guest – you might know his work from shows like Brooklyn Nine-Nine. The cast is fantastic too! Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is taking on the role of Simon Williams, and we’ll also see Demetrius Grosse, Byron Bowers, and Lauren Glazier. Plus, it’s great to see Ben Kingsley returning as Trevor Slattery and Arian Moayed as P. Cleary – those guys are always a win!
