Dark Auction now has a playable demo on PS5, if you’re interested.
We’ve been anticipating this game for some time, as it was initially planned for release in 2025. After a delay, it’s finally launching on January 29th, and we’re just days away from playing it!
Dark Auction looks incredibly promising! It’s an investigative game with a fantastic team working on it, featuring acclaimed writer Rika Suzuki, popular manga artist Kohske, and experienced composer Yuko Komiyama.
Just a heads-up, Dark Auction had a bit of drama last summer. It caused some controversy, but I still wanted to mention it.
The story takes place in Germany in 1981 and centers around an auction of items that once belonged to Adolf Hitler. When the main character’s father disappears while at the auction, a thrilling adventure unfolds.
The game appears to have removed all references to Hitler, replacing his name with the generic title ‘Dictator X’ in both the game itself and its advertising.
It’s worth mentioning the game was initially called Dark Auction: Hitler’s Estate. The developers, IzanagiGames, obviously faced some problems with that title.
Anyway, the demo’s right there on the PS Store if you fancy it — it weighs in at just under 4.6GB.
I’m really hoping to check out Dark Auction! And honestly, the comments section is wild – people are uncovering some seriously crazy theories and conspiracies. You have to see it!
