A Lot Of Housewives Have Done Well On The Traitors, But Would Heather Gay Join?

Can you believe it’s almost been 20 years of the Real Housewives? The incredibly popular series includes some of the most memorable reality TV ever made, and Salt Lake City is a standout. Viewers are currently watching Season 6 on Bravo and Peacock, with original cast member Heather Gay returning. With several Housewives already appearing on The Traitors, fans are wondering if she’ll join the cast too. Here’s what she shared with us.

The Traitors is an Emmy-winning sensation, and is basically The Avengers for reality TV addicts. A number of beloved Real Housewives have appeared on the competition series over the years, and during a chat with Gay about her new partnership with Atkins, I had to ask if she’d be down to join. The RHOSLC OG told me:

I’ve been really into the tartan trend lately! I just got red nail polish, and I think it would look great with a plaid outfit. I’d love to be on The Traitors, but I’d definitely want to be a Faithful player. Being a Traitor would just stress me out too much. I’d want to be on the Faithful team and really support them, but yeah, I’d totally do the show.

Heather Gay is eager to compete on the show The Traitors, and would be a great addition to the growing number of Real Housewives who’ve played the game. While no one from The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City has been on the show yet, given the city’s popularity, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the show cast members from there in a future season.

Peacock TV subscriptions start at $7.99 per month or $79.99 per year. You can stream popular shows like The Real Housewives and The Traitors. For a slightly higher price, you can upgrade to Peacock Premium or Premium Plus for ad-free viewing and the ability to download shows and movies to watch without an internet connection. Now that Season 4 of The Traitors has included Real Housewives, I’m curious to see how that impacts future seasons, both in terms of who they cast and how the game is played. In a recent conversation (see the video), I believed Heather would be a strong ‘Faithful’ player because she’s good at spotting dishonesty, as she’s demonstrated on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. She actually agreed with my assessment, saying:

I like to keep it real. I do. I like to sniff out the B.S.. That’s like my favorite pastime.

Heather Gay has been on all six seasons of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City and often acts as the show’s main storyteller, connecting with the audience. This makes her a great fit for The Traitors – she’s clearly comfortable and engaging in interviews. Plus, with her appearance on Ultimate Girls Trip, she’s already proven she can succeed in reality TV crossovers.

Season 4 of The Traitors included several stars from The Real Housewives franchise, and viewers were surprised when Lisa Rinna from Beverly Hills and Candiace Dillard Bassett from Potomac were selected as Traitors. As of now, both are still competing and have managed to avoid suspicion for the most part at the Round Table, though Lisa is starting to attract attention. It will be interesting to see how far they get. Meanwhile, if Heather Gay were to join the cast, she’d rather be on the ‘Faithful’ team.

You can catch new episodes of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City on Bravo every Tuesday, and The Traitors releases new episodes on Peacock Thursdays. It will be interesting to see if these shows ever cross over in the future.
