Next month, many of Nickelodeon’s most beloved classic animated movies will be available on a new streaming service. Nickelodeon is known for its popular animated franchises, many of which are still going strong today. It all began when they successfully adapted one of their TV shows into a movie – a rare feat at the time. That first film was so popular, it launched a trilogy, and even featured a significant crossover event.
Starting February 1st, 2026, Paramount+ will stream all three Rugrats movies – The Rugrats Movie, Rugrats in Paris: The Movie, and Rugrats Go Wild. While these films have been available elsewhere, fans can now enjoy all three in one place on Paramount+, starting very soon.
The Rugrats Movies are Coming to Paramount+ This February 2026
It’s tough to explain just how popular Rugrats was if you didn’t watch it back in the 1990s. It might seem surprising – it’s a cartoon about babies having adventures – but it was Nickelodeon’s first huge hit. The show was incredibly successful, running for many seasons and expanding into TV specials, spin-offs, and even a sequel series aimed at older viewers. A major sign of its impact was the release of three blockbuster movies.
While not Nickelodeon Movies’ very first film, The Rugrats Movie was the first based on a NickToon television show. The movie featured a brand-new story and introduced a new baby to the group, expanding the world beyond the original series. With updated animation but the same beloved voice actors, it was a special treat for Nickelodeon fans. Now, you can revisit the movie on Paramount+ and see what all the excitement was about.
The Rugrats Movies Were Special
It’s become rare for TV shows to get full-fledged movie releases, something that used to be a major event. While anime series and shows like SpongeBob have continued that tradition, it felt much bigger when a TV show like Rugrats made the jump to the big screen because television and film were considered separate experiences. Plus, these movies always offered fans something truly special.
The Rugrats movies – The Rugrats Movie and Rugrats in Paris: The Movie – significantly changed the show’s storyline, introducing new characters like Dil and Kimi, so watching them was important to follow the series. Rugrats Go Wild wasn’t as crucial to the overall story, but it was a fun crossover with The Wild Thornberrys and featured Bruce Willis voicing Spike. These movies were all great reasons to visit the cinema, and now fans will soon be able to enjoy them all through streaming.
