Rihanna isn’t alone in experiencing changes to her body after having children; many women go through similar physical transformations.
Rihanna recently opened up about how her body has changed after having three children – sons RZA, 3, and Riot, 2, and a daughter, Rocki, who is 3 months old – with A$AP Rocky. She shared the types of clothes she’s been choosing to feel confident and comfortable.
When asked about her favorite look from Dior’s spring/summer fashion show at Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week, she laughed and said it was impossible to choose just one. ‘I wanted everything!’ she told Dior in a TikTok interview posted January 26th. ‘The coats, the dresses, the skirts… especially the ones that gently flare out around the stomach – I’ve got a bit of a mom pouch and I thought those were perfect.’
Rihanna, 37, shared her enthusiasm, saying she was impressed with all the details of the show—the bags, shoes, and jewelry were beautifully made and wonderfully playful. She said everything about it was exciting and created a really thrilling experience.
Rihanna and A$AP Rocky, who began dating in 2021, welcomed their son, Rocki, in September. Rihanna announced the news on Instagram with a sweet photo of herself holding her newborn, wrapped in a pink blanket. She also shared a picture of pink boxing gloves with ribbons.
Just before her daughter was born, Rihanna told Extra in July that her sons were excited to have another sibling, saying they were “delighted.”
Even though they’re busy with their growing family now, Rihanna has said she and A$AP Rocky, both 37, always dreamed of being parents and wouldn’t change a thing.
She told Interview Magazine in 2024 that the COVID-19 pandemic actually brought them closer together quickly. She believes this happened because they were meant to start a family, and without the pandemic, they would have taken much longer to feel ready and comfortable with each other.
She went on to say that it was undeniably the best thing that had ever happened to them, and it simply came about naturally.
The award-winning artist shared that being with the rapper changed her perspective on relationships. She explained that in the past, she always tried her hardest to make things work, but it never felt like enough. With him, it was different. She felt truly seen, believed in, and valued as a potential mother, which was incredibly empowering. She felt the same way about him, confident he’d be a wonderful father.
