Kim and Joe Tate’s lives in Emmerdale have been turned upside down by the shocking return of Graham Foster, who was presumed dead for six years. Claire King and Ned Porteous, who play Kim and Joe respectively, will now navigate this unexpected development.
Viewers are still shocked by Graham’s unexpected return. Despite appearing to have died multiple times – run over, struck on the head, pushed off a cliff, and even cremated – he suddenly reappeared during the recent Coronation Street episode.
He later told his ex-girlfriend, Rhona Goskirk, that his rigorous SAS training allowed him to convincingly play dead. This allowed him to be secretly transported out of the country, escaping the threat Kim had placed on his life.

When Graham learned that Rhona’s stepdaughter, April Windsor, was mixed up with a drug dealer named Ray Walters, he vowed to resolve the family’s problems.
Turns out, he didn’t even need to act on it! Bear Wolf, played by Joshua Richards, took care of things first – he killed the guy before he could. It was a real shock, honestly.
Earlier this week, Graham filled Rhona in on what was happening, but they nearly got caught when Joe thought he recognized his old guardian. Joe wasn’t sure if it really was him, so he confided in Rhona about how much he missed him and wished he was still involved in his life.

Those words really affected Graham, leading him to reveal his true identity and go to Home Farm.
In today’s episode, Joe and Kim were utterly blindsided by his sudden ‘return from the dead’.
Graham surprised everyone by revealing Kim was the reason he went missing, and this news quickly destroyed the progress Joe had made in rebuilding his relationship with his step-grandmother.

Kim worried he’d come back because they were still legally married, and she suspected he might be after her money.
He told her he’d returned only to help Rhona and April, but now hoped to make things right with Joe, who was deeply upset and had gone outside to clear his head.
When Joe came back into the living room, he had brought two police officers with him. They told Graham they needed to ask him some questions and wanted him to go to the station with them.
Graham was deeply embarrassed and upset to discover his young charge had reported his possible dishonest actions to the authorities.
Can he clarify what happened, or will this lead to more legal problems? Also, will Joe ever be able to forgive Graham?
