Brandi Glanville is keeping it real.
As a huge fan, I was so relieved to see a recent update from the former Beverly Hills Housewife! She shared her new look, and honestly, she looks amazing considering everything she’s been going through with that awful facial parasite. She was so sweet to publicly thank the doctor who helped her with the transformation – a true testament to their skill and her gratitude.
I’m so grateful to Dr. Nicholas Nikolov for introducing me to CellSound! He really helped me prepare for the Sundance Film Festival, and I’m especially excited about the upcoming PBM Princess movie event at Kemo Sabe. It’s going to be amazing!
The 53-year-old shared a photo on Instagram showing her wearing a baseball cap and playfully pouting for the camera, alongside one of the staff. She also mentioned CellSound Aesthetics, a company specializing in non-surgical facial and body treatments, in the post.
The reality TV star recently revealed how much she’s spent on treatments for a mysterious facial condition she’s been battling publicly since 2023.
She told Us Weekly in April that she’s deeply in debt, owing over $100,000.
Brandi says she’s spent more than $113,000 trying to get treatment for her condition, but the biggest impact has been on her emotional well-being.
She explained that she couldn’t afford to travel or even leave the house right now. Instead, she spends all day online, constantly getting lost in endless searches and information. It’s draining and takes over her whole life.
Brandi, who has two sons – 22-year-old Mason and 18-year-old Jake – with her ex-husband Eddie Cibrian, says doctors haven’t yet figured out what’s causing her health issue, but she believes it has spread throughout her face.

She described a sensation traveling down her body, starting in her neck and moving to her left shoulder and down her arm. She explained that she needs to stand up, stretch, and soak in a hot tub to find relief, calling the whole process frustrating.
Brandi is facing ongoing health challenges, and she’s sharing her story in hopes of supporting others who are dealing with similar difficulties.
She said she’s looking for a doctor who is truly dedicated to helping patients – not just her, but others who have been struggling with this for a long time, including men. Several men have contacted her, and she understands their experience, describing a feeling of intense pressure and the fear of it becoming overwhelming.
Brandi isn’t alone in facing a serious health challenge. Here are other celebrities who have shared their stories.

Nikki Bella, known from Total Bellas, shared that one of her breast implants moved after being hit during the elbow of WWE wrestler Piper Niven in a match that took place in July 2025.
She reassured her sister, Bella Garcia, saying they would get the issue resolved eventually. She explained to the doctor that as soon as she retired from her current work, she’d return to address the problem and ensure everything looked its best, because she anticipated future needs and wanted to be prepared. She didn’t want things to remain in their current condition.

Lupita Nyong’o, known for her role in 12 Years a Slave, received a diagnosis of uterine fibroids—non-cancerous growths in or around the uterus—in 2014, the same year she won an Academy Award for her performance in the film.
She didn’t share her diagnosis until 2025, when she revealed on Instagram that she had been privately struggling with the condition for over ten years.
She explained that girls are often taught to accept period pain as a normal part of growing up and being female. This leaves many of us dealing with a common issue in silence and feeling isolated.

In July 2025, the actress from Daisy Jones & The Six revealed she was hospitalized for a hernia. This happened because she had been wearing pants that were too tight, which caused a gap to form in her abdominal muscles.
She messaged Suki on X (formerly Twitter), saying, “You haven’t tweeted in ages!” Then, jokingly, she added, “I’ve been meaning to tell you… I think those super-tight pants I wore six months ago gave me a hernia, and I’ve been too embarrassed to say anything.”

I was so worried to hear that Brian Austin Green had to have surgery back in April 2025! Apparently, his appendix was really close to bursting, and he’s been recovering since then. It’s great to know he’s on the mend.
Brian shared in an Instagram video that he recently experienced stomach pain which led him to the emergency room. He explained that his appendix had a hole in it – it hadn’t fully burst, but was very close to doing so.
He added, “I’m on the road to recovery. It’s not an easy process. This is my first major surgery.”

During a soccer game against the Seattle Reign on September 14th at Lumen Field in Seattle, a midfielder for Racing Louisville collapsed after only a few minutes of play.
According to Reuters, the U.S. Women’s National Team player sat down on the field with a teammate for support just before collapsing. Trainers were immediately called to assess her condition.
Savannah received immediate medical attention on the field and was taken to a nearby hospital for more tests, according to a statement from the National Women’s Soccer League. They reported that she is currently in stable condition and is alert.

Adam Devine revealed that injuries from being hit by a cement truck at age 11 still cause him problems today.
“It’s been a really difficult time,” Devine shared on the In Depth With Graham Bensinger podcast in 2025. “I’ve been experiencing spasms all over my body, and doctors actually told me last year that my condition was life-threatening.”
He explained that his pain is intermittent, and described having some physical imperfections, saying, “My body isn’t quite perfect.”

A former contestant on The Bachelor went to the hospital because of severe back pain. He said he was in so much pain he had to crawl to get help, and the pain got worse during a road trip with a friend.
He described a lingering tingling sensation in his knees and toes, saying it was “crazy.” On his Trading Secrets podcast in March 2025, he explained that just a few weeks prior, he’d been squatting 295 pounds. Now, he can’t even do a squat, can’t balance on one leg, and falls over, comparing the feeling to having a stroke.
But with the help of a back specialist and some steroids, he added, “We’re on the mend.”

Gina Kirschenheiter from The Real Housewives of Orange County revealed that her ex-husband, Matt Kirschenheiter, had a heart attack in March 2025, but he is recovering well.

In March 2025, the actor from 30 Rock experienced a medical issue at a New York Knicks game and had to be taken out of Madison Square Garden in a wheelchair.
The comedian later posted on social media to explain that he hadn’t been feeling well due to food poisoning, but he was starting to feel better.

In February 2025, the former Even Stevens star revealed she was shot in the face during a birthday celebration for her husband, Brendan Rooney. They were on a clay pigeon shooting trip when the incident occurred.
Oh my god, you won’t BELIEVE what happened! We were at this party, and some people started shooting, but like, completely recklessly – and I ended up getting shot in the face! It was terrifying. But Brendan Rooney? He was incredible. He instantly jumped into action, figured out what was going on, and just raced me to the hospital. I was hit five times, FIVE TIMES! And one of the shots was SO close to my eye, literally less than an inch away from hitting it directly. Brendan is a lifesaver, seriously. I owe him everything!
The Kim Possible actor explained that a small piece of something got stuck behind their eye. Doctors have advised against removing it with surgery right now, and they’ll continue to monitor the situation, as their vision is currently normal.
The actress expressed immense gratitude for surviving a frightening experience. She shared how much she cherishes her daughters, husband, family, and friends, explaining that she realized how precious life is. She urged everyone to embrace their loved ones, emphasizing that things can change quickly and unexpectedly.

Amy Schumer is grateful for the internet, despite its often negative side, because it helped her discover a health issue. After noticing she looked “puffier” and receiving criticism online, doctors began commenting on interviews, suggesting she might have Cushing syndrome – a condition often caused by high cortisol levels or steroid injections. This prompted Amy to realize she’d been receiving steroid injections after a breast reduction and C-section. She wouldn’t have known about the condition without the online scrutiny. Thankfully, doctors determined her case of Cushing syndrome would resolve on its own, which she shared was “the greatest news imaginable.” Amy is now relieved to be healthy and attributes her diagnosis to the observant comments she received online.

During a game in December 2024, an AHL player was accidentally cut in the face by another player’s skate and needed 25 stitches to close the wound. After his son made a full recovery, New Jersey Devils General Manager Tom Fitzgerald shared with ESPN how relieved they were, saying, “We feel very lucky, and I wouldn’t want any parent to go through that.”

I was so worried when I heard about what happened to Hailey Bieber back in March 2022. She was having breakfast with Justin when she suddenly started having stroke-like symptoms. She shared that Justin noticed something was wrong and asked if she was okay, but she couldn’t even respond. She said she couldn’t speak and the right side of her face started to droop – it must have been terrifying! Thankfully, it stopped and her speech came back, but she immediately went to the hospital to get checked out. They discovered she’d had a small blood clot to her brain, which doctors called a TIA. Later, they found out she had a hole in her heart, a PFO, and that’s how the clot had gotten to her brain. Thankfully, she had a procedure to close the hole and she’s doing so much better now. I’m just so relieved to hear she’s feeling great!

The same year Hailey faced a health issue, Justin also experienced one. In June 2022, he revealed he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which temporarily paralyzed part of his face and forced him to cancel the remaining dates of his Justice World Tour.
In a video posted to Instagram, Justin explained the condition affected the nerves in his ear and face, causing paralysis on one side. He showed fans he couldn’t blink, smile, or move his nostril on the affected side, and that it was becoming increasingly difficult to eat. Fortunately, the paralysis eventually went away.
Hailey shared on Good Morning America that Justin was recovering well and feeling much better. She described the situation as scary and unexpected, but reassured everyone that he would be completely fine and she was thankful he was on the mend.

Jamie Foxx recently shared details about the health scare he experienced in April 2023, which he had previously kept private. In his 2024 Netflix special, What Had Happened Was…, he explained that he suffered a severe headache one day while in Atlanta. Before he could even take an aspirin, he lost consciousness and doesn’t remember the next twenty days.
Initially, a doctor gave him a cortisone shot and sent him home, but his sister, Deidra Dixon, was worried and took him to the hospital. There, they discovered he had a brain bleed that resulted in a stroke.
After surgery, Jamie woke up in a wheelchair on May 4th, unable to walk. He then traveled to Chicago for rehabilitation and therapy. He expressed deep gratitude for the prayers he received, saying he needed them all.

The reality TV star said she temporarily stopped breathing while running a mile during the first challenge on the NBC competition show.
It’s still so vivid to me, even after all this time. She shared on the show Fit for TV: The Reality of The Biggest Loser that she doesn’t recall much of what happened, just the sound of a helicopter. She described feeling like she was floating, and then, unbelievably, she saw her grandpa. After that, everything went dark, but then she saw light again. That’s when she knew – she truly knew she had died that day. It was a profoundly spiritual experience, and she’s shared it so bravely.
She explained that her organs were failing. She hadn’t known she had rhabdomyolysis, a condition where your body essentially starts to shut down.

Emilia Clarke, known for her role in Game of Thrones, revealed a harrowing health battle in a 2019 essay for The New Yorker. While filming the show, she experienced a severe headache while at the gym, which quickly escalated. She described collapsing and being violently ill, realizing something was seriously wrong with her brain.
A hospital scan revealed she had suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage – a life-threatening stroke caused by a ruptured aneurysm. She immediately underwent surgery to repair it, but the pain was excruciating. During her recovery, she struggled with aphasia, leaving her unable to speak clearly.
Although she was eventually discharged after a month, a 2013 scan showed the aneurysm had grown and required a second surgery. This procedure was unsuccessful, leading to a major bleed and putting her life at risk. Doctors had to perform a more invasive surgery, accessing her brain directly through her skull.
Fortunately, Emilia is now fully recovered and says she’s “at a hundred per cent.”

Cori Broadus, Snoop Dogg’s daughter, recently shared how much she appreciates her family’s support. In January 2024, she suffered a stroke and immediately reached out to her loved ones. “I texted them that I just had a stroke and sent them a picture,” she told Will Marfuggi of TopMob News in December 2024. “Everybody just came to my rescue.”
Cori’s hospital stay ended up being longer than expected due to other health issues. She explained that while she could have gone home after the stroke, her lupus and failing kidneys required further care.
Now, Cori is recovering well. “I’m doing great,” she said. “I just had a little bit of motor skills that I had to work back on. But other than that, I was fine.”

Shailene Woodley struggled with significant health issues throughout her early twenties. In a September 2024 podcast interview, she revealed she experienced hearing loss, extreme fatigue, and digestive problems. She described a confusing experience with multiple doctors offering different diagnoses. Determined to find answers, Woodley, who comes from a holistic health background and studies herbalism, sought help from both traditional doctors and alternative healers. This search for well-being lasted for a decade. The physical discomfort led to anxiety around food and, eventually, struggles with body image and a sense of self. Thankfully, after years of addressing both her physical and mental health, Shailene is now feeling much better and considers herself very healthy. She’s grateful to be in a good place.
