Gran Turismo 7’s Free Updates Keep on Coming After First Paid DLC, New Cars This Week

Just last month, Gran Turismo 7 received its biggest update since launch, along with a paid add-on for PlayStation 5. But the developers at Polyphony Digital aren’t stopping there – they’re releasing another free update for the PS5 and PS4 game within the next 24 hours.

The latest update, version 1.67, brings new content to the game with the addition of three cars, a new Menu to play through, three new World Circuit events, and a California-themed Scape environment.

The three new cars are:

Hyundai Elantra N TC ’24

The Hyundai Elantra N is built for performance and represents the company’s high-performance N line. The Elantra N TC is a special version created for racing. The standard Elantra N’s 2.0-liter turbocharged engine produces 276 horsepower and strong torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 5.3 seconds – a great starting point for a race car. The TC version is modified to meet racing standards and features an enhanced aerodynamic package with a wider body, carbon fiber front splitter, and a large rear wing to increase downforce. It also includes a six-speed sequential gearbox, adjustable racing suspension, and durable brakes. To further improve performance, weight has been reduced, the chassis strengthened, and a safety roll cage installed, all while maintaining the agility and reliability of the original Elantra N.

Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) ’22

Since 1963, the Porsche 911 has set the standard for sports car performance, becoming a legend on both the street and the racetrack. The latest version, the 992 launched in 2018, builds on this legacy with refined styling and a powerful 3.0-liter turbocharged engine paired with an eight-speed transmission. From this base, Porsche created the 911 GT3 R in 2022 – a dedicated racing car. It’s powered by a 4.2-liter engine delivering up to 557 horsepower and features lightweight carbon fiber and aramid construction. The car also boasts racing-derived suspension, an extended wheelbase for better handling, high-performance AP Racing brakes, and a thoroughly modern cockpit – all designed for success in GT racing.

Xiaomi SU7 Ultra ’25

The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is Xiaomi’s first electric car, and it’s built for serious performance. It boasts a powerful three-motor all-wheel-drive system producing up to 1,527 horsepower, with incredibly fast-spinning rear motors. This translates to breathtaking acceleration – 0 to 62 mph in just 1.98 seconds – and a top speed of 217.5 mph. The car is engineered for lightness and strength using materials like carbon fiber, a unique cell-to-body construction, and large-scale casting techniques. An aerodynamic kit creates significant downforce, and powerful brakes ensure quick stopping. Combining luxury features, an advanced suspension system, and cutting-edge driver-assistance technology, the SU7 Ultra represents a new era in high-performance electric vehicles.
