Noah Cyrus had the lovebug for Franklin Jonas.
I remember being totally obsessed with the Jonas Brothers when I was younger! Miley Cyrus’ sister recently shared how she had a huge crush on Nick, Joe, and Kevin Jonas’ little brother back in the early 2000s, and it was so relatable. It brought back a lot of memories!
On January 11th, Noah posted a TikTok of herself and a friend driving while the Jonas Brothers’ song “Lovebug” – originally written about her sister Miley – played in the background.
I posted a video of me and my best friend jamming out, because she’s totally obsessed with her fiancé—and she even has an air freshener with his face on it! (@sevduhhhh)
Fans flooded the comments section with memories of Miley Cyrus and Nick Jonas, but one commenter pointed out the sweet connection between Noah Cyrus and Frankie Jonas when they were younger. They wrote, “I used to think Noah and Frankie were going to be the next big couple!” and added that the two even starred in the movie Ponyo together as children.
Noah also confessed she once believed Franklin, her co-star in the 2008 film Ponyo, was the one for her.
I was really in love with Frankie,” she said. “Things were intense with her while watching Ponyo and when we were on tour with our siblings.”

Noah and Franklin, both 25, were frequently seen at events with their more well-known older siblings. This was especially true during the 2008 Best of Both Worlds Tour, when the Jonas Brothers performed as the opening act for Miley Cyrus. But Miley wasn’t the only Disney Channel star Noah had a crush on growing up.
Noah Cyrus once admitted to having a childhood crush on Mitchel Musso, who starred alongside Miley Cyrus in Hannah Montana. She shared an old photo of them together on TikTok in May, joking that she believed Musso was interested in her even when she was just five years old.
Ugh, it’s just… today all she seems to care about is Pinkus! They’ve been engaged since 2023, and honestly, it’s adorable, but she keeps saying wedding planning is taking forever! I just want them to get married already, they’re perfect together!
Noah recently revealed on the Zach Sang Show that he’s engaged. He explained that it’s been complicated because his partner is in the process of relocating from another country, and they’re navigating all the necessary steps together.
Join Noah as she reminisces about her family’s trips to Disney, and let’s catch up with what other former Disney Channel stars are doing today!

As a lifestyle expert, I always find it fascinating to see how people reinvent themselves! You probably remember Clayton Snyder as the adorable Ethan Craft from those Hilary Duff shows, and he was a total heartthrob! After enjoying that early success, he made the smart decision to focus on education, finishing high school and even playing water polo at Pepperdine University. While he did make a quick appearance on NCIS a few years back, these days he’s building a successful career in real estate.
But he hasn’t forgotten his roots! He’s told me before that sometimes clients recognize him mid-house-showing, and it’s actually a really positive experience. He loves that people are excited about his past, but that they ultimately chose to work with him because of his expertise and the great service he provides. It’s a wonderful example of having the best of both worlds – embracing your past while building a fulfilling future!

Adam Lamberg is best known for playing Gordo, Lizzie’s close friend and eventual boyfriend, in the popular show Lizzie McGuire. After that, he appeared in the films When Do We Eat? and Beautiful Loser. He also pursued higher education, earning a bachelor’s degree in Geography from UC Berkeley and a master’s degree in Public Administration from Baruch College. While he was scheduled to reprise his role in the Lizzie McGuire reboot, he has largely stepped away from acting.

Lalaine, who played Miranda Sanchez on Lizzie McGuire, saw her career stall after she had to leave the show and the 2003 movie due to filming commitments for the Disney Channel movie You Wish!. While she tried to launch a music career, it didn’t gain much traction. A planned spin-off series, What’s Stevie Thinking?, focusing on Miranda’s younger sister, never made it past the first episode. In 2007, she also faced legal trouble and was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, but completed rehab and the charge was later dropped. Though she had a small role in the 2010 film Easy A, she’s now more visible on Instagram than in movies or TV shows. She did appear in the film Definition Please, which was released in 2020.

Jake Thomas is best known for playing Matt McGuire on the popular show Lizzie McGuire. He continued acting after that, appearing on Disney’s Cory in the House and guest starring in dramas like ER, House, Criminal Minds, NCIS, and S.W.A.T. He also appeared in the web series Storytellers created by YouTuber Joey Graceffa.
In 2018, Jake graduated from Cal State University, Northridge, with a degree in Screenwriting and a minor in Japanese. Today, he shares his photography and old photos from his time as a child actor on his Instagram account.

Camilla Belle started her acting career with a leading role in the Disney Channel movie Rip Girls in 2000. She took a short break before appearing in the 2006 remake of When a Stranger Calls and the popular 2008 film 10,000 BC.
From late 2008 to mid-2009, she briefly dated Joe Jonas, whom she met while filming the Jonas Brothers’ “Lovebug” music video. This relationship was even mentioned in Taylor Swift’s song “Better Than Revenge.”
Since then, she’s primarily worked on independent films, including Open Road, Diablo, and the 2017 James Franco film The Mad Whale. More recently, she’s had roles in the TV series Dollface and Law & Order: Organized Crime.

After finishing his role as Max Russo on Wizards of Waverly Place in 2012, Jake T. Austin quickly landed a leading part on The Fosters (originally on ABC Family, now Freeform). He played Jesus Foster for two seasons before leaving the show, and Noah Centineo took over the role. He then competed on Dancing With the Stars, but was the first contestant eliminated in season 23. Austin also provided voice work for The Emoji Movie (2017) and the thriller Adverse (2020), which starred Mickey Rourke. Though he wasn’t in the first season of the Wizards sequel, Wizards Beyond Waverly Place, fans are eager to see him appear in the upcoming second season.

Since the show ended in 2012, David Henrie, who played Justin Russo, has had a different path than some of his co-stars. He didn’t participate in the follow-up movie, The Wizards Return: Alex vs. Alex, but he’s appeared in films like Grown Ups 2 and Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2.
David married Maria Cahill, a former Miss Delaware, in April 2017, and they welcomed their daughter, Pia, in March 2019. Around the time they announced they were expecting, he was arrested at LAX and charged with carrying a loaded gun in the airport. He apologized for the incident and received two years of probation and 20 days of community service.
Now a father of three, David is teaming up with Selena Gomez again to executive produce and star in a new Disney+ spin-off series, Wizards Beyond Waverly Place.

Jennifer Stone is known for reprising her role as Harper Finkle, best friend to Alex Russo, in The Wizards Return: Alex vs. Alex. She also appeared in the Lifetime thriller High School Possession (2014) and played the Babysitter on Nickelodeon’s Deadtime Stories.
In 2013, Stone was diagnosed with LADA, a form of autoimmune diabetes sometimes called Type 1.5. She later used her film The In-Between to help raise awareness about the condition.
Jennifer and Wizards costar David DeLuise both host the rewatch podcast Wizards of Waverly Pod.

Does this make you feel old? Mia Talerico was just 10 months old when she started playing Charlie Duncan on the Disney Channel show Good Luck Charlie, which first aired in April 2010. After the show ended in 2014, she appeared on the YouTube series Mani, playing Paige in 13 episodes. She also has her own YouTube channel where she creates videos opening and reviewing toys.

Bridgit Mendler, who played Teddy Duncan on Good Luck Charlie, transitioned to more mature roles, joining the NBC comedy Undateable in 2015 for two seasons. Since then, she’s appeared in episodes of Nashville and the Netflix film Father of the Year, as well as the Netflix series Merry Happy Whatever alongside Dennis Quaid and Ashley Tisdale.
Beyond acting and music – she’s released two albums – Mendler is also dedicated to her education. After studying anthropology at USC, she pursued graduate studies at MIT and later attended Harvard Law School. More recently, she and her husband, Griffin Cleverly, adopted a four-year-old son and launched Northwood Space, a tech startup focused on building ground stations for satellite data transmission.

Since the last Cheetah Girls movie came out in 2008, Raven-Symone and Adrienne Bailon-Houghton have continued to be well-known through acting and hosting. However, Kiely Williams, who was also in 3LW, has lived a bit of a different life.
After appearing in The House Bunny in 2008, Kiely had roles in a few films, including Elle: A Modern Cinderella Tale and Stomp the Yard 2: Homecoming (both 2010), and Holla II (2013). She married Brandon “BJ” Cox in December 2016, with Sabrina Bryan from Cheetah Girls as a bridesmaid. As a mom of two, Kiely briefly returned to television in 2017, appearing on Celebrity Family Feud alongside Sabrina as part of the Girl Group team.

Following the release of Cheetah Girls: One World in 2008, Sabrina Bryan worked as a reporter for TopMob News during the eighth season of Dancing With the Stars in 2009. She had previously competed on the show, finishing sixth three seasons earlier. She returned to compete as an All-Star in season 15 in 2012, but was eliminated sixth again – exactly five years after her first elimination, despite receiving perfect scores.
Beyond Dancing With the Stars, Sabrina has also done voice work for the Disney Channel animated series Fish Hooks. In 2011, she and Kiely Williams launched a web series called Dinner With Friends. She married Jordan Lundberg, a strategic accounts manager, on October 6, 2018, after dating for nine years. Currently, she’s tapping into the nostalgia for Disney Channel Original Movies with her iHeartPodcast, Magical Rewind, co-hosted with Will Friedle.

Ryan Merriman first gained recognition starring in the Disney Channel Original Movie Smart House in 1999, and continued to appear in several DCOMs like The Luck of the Irish (2001) and A Ring of Endless Light (2002). He then moved into more mature roles, appearing in horror films such as Halloween: Resurrection, The Ring Two, and Final Destination 3. From 2010 to 2014, he played a recurring character, Ian Thomas, on the popular series Pretty Little Liars, and had a supporting role in the 2013 Jackie Robinson biopic 42. While still working as an actor, he now focuses more on independent films.
Merriman married Micol Duncan in 2004, but they divorced in 2011. He announced his engagement to Kristen McCullen on January 1, 2012, and they married in 2014.

I’ve been a huge fan of Kirsten Storms for years! I first fell in love with her when she was on Disney Channel in the late 90s and early 2000s – she was amazing in Zenon and Johnny Tsunami, and I even remember her voice work on Kim Possible. But what a lot of people don’t realize is that while she was doing all that, she was also building a career on Days of Our Lives – she was on for four years and over 400 episodes!
She tried a primetime show called Clubhouse for a bit, but she really found her groove back on soaps with General Hospital. She played Maxie Jones for almost two decades – over 1,100 episodes! It was incredible to watch her grow into the role.
She even dipped her toe into reality TV with a show called Dirty Soap for a short time. On a personal note, she and her General Hospital co-star Brandon Barash secretly got married in 2013 and had a beautiful daughter, Harper Rose, in 2014. Sadly, they divorced in 2016, but she continues to be a fantastic actress and someone I really admire.

Erik von Detten became a teen idol in 1998 starring in the Disney Channel movie Brink!. He stayed busy afterward with voice acting on Recess, a role as John Bryant in The Princess Diaries, and as a lead on the Disney Channel series So Weird (1999-2001). He even ventured into early reality TV, appearing on the first celebrity season of The Mole, alongside parts in shows like Dinotopia and Complete Savages. Most recently, he revisited a familiar character, voicing Sid in Toy Story 3 – a role he first played when the Toy Story franchise began in 1995. Today, Erik works in sales for a finance company and is raising two children with his wife, Angela.

Raviv Ullman first became known for playing Phil Diffy in the Disney Channel series Phil of the Future from 2004 to 2006. He then began taking on more mature roles, appearing in shows like Big Love and House (where he first used his real name, Raviv Ullman, in the credits). From 2008 to 2009, he was a regular on the Lifetime comedy Rita Rocks. More recently, he’s been in an episode of Broad City (2015) and had a recurring role in the web series Strangers (2018). Between 2012 and 2018, he also performed in several stage productions and played drums in Zoe Kravitz’ band Lolawolf from 2013 to 2014. In 2022, he told TopMob News that he had just finished directing an opera at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.

Kimberly J. Brown became famous in 1999 when she played Marnie Piper in the Disney Channel movie Halloweentown, alongside Debbie Reynolds. The film was so popular it led to three sequels, but surprisingly, the network chose to replace Brown with Sara Paxton in the fourth movie, Return to Halloweentown in 2006. That film is generally considered the weakest in the series.
Outside of Halloweentown, Brown’s acting credits include a role in the 2005 film Be Cool, a few episodes of AMC’s Low Winter Sun in 2013, 15 episodes of General Hospital in 2021, and nearly 50 episodes of Guiding Light.
After earning a business degree in college, she opened an Etsy shop called CraftilyCreative, where she sells handmade items, including Halloweentownthemed merchandise. She also co-authored a Halloween children’s book, Poppin’s Pumpkin Patch Parade, with Diane Yslas in 2016.
Fans were thrilled when she married her Halloweentown* co-star Daniel Kountz in April 2024.

Oh my gosh, Mitchel Musso was everything to me growing up! He was Oliver Oken on Hannah Montana from 2006 to 2011 – seriously, Oliver and Miley were the best! It seemed like he was really taking off after that, landing the lead in Pair of Kings and even hosting PrankStars! I was so excited for him! But then… it all just fell apart. I remember reading about his DUI arrest in 2011 – he was only 20! They wrote him off Pair of Kings and canceled PrankStars right away. It was heartbreaking! He did some indie films and voice work on Milo Murphy’s Law after that, which was cool, but it wasn’t the same. And now, I just saw that he was arrested again in 2023 for public intoxication and theft in Texas. I’m just… so worried about him. I really hope he gets the help he needs.

Jason Earles is best known for playing Miley Stewart’s older brother, Jackson, on Hannah Montana, even though he was much older than the character – 29 when the show started and 34 when it finished. He followed that role with four seasons as Rudy on the Disney XD comedy Kickin’ It, which ended in 2015. More recently, he’s appeared on the Brat series Hotel Du Loone (available on YouTube) and joined the cast of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series starting in 2018. Jason married Katie Drysen in August 2017.

Kyle Massey first became known for playing Cory Baxter on the Disney Channel series That’s So Raven from 2003 to 2007, which led to his own spin-off show, Cory in the House, lasting until 2008. Since then, he’s appeared in various roles, including recurring parts on The Electric Company and voice work in animated series like Fish Hooks and Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. He also competed on Dancing With the Stars and Celebrity Family Feud.
In 2018, reports surfaced that Massey would join the cast of The Hills: New Beginnings, but he later confirmed these rumors were false.
In 2021, Massey was charged with a felony related to communications with a minor. His lawyer stated the charges were a resurfacing of previously dismissed allegations and that Massey believes he is being extorted. The lawyer also said Massey plans to vigorously defend himself and pursue legal action against those spreading false claims.

A.J. Trauth started his career with roles as Twitty on the show Even Stevens (2000-2003) and as the voice of Josh Mankey in a few episodes of Kim Possible. He then appeared as a guest star on popular shows like 7th Heaven, House, Ghost Whisperer, CSI, and Bones until 2012.
More recently, he’s been in several independent films and has done voice work for the video games Wolfenstein: The New Order and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus (2017). He became engaged to actress Leah Pipes in February 2014, after dating for nearly three years, and they married that December. However, they later separated by 2019.

As someone who’s always been fascinated by creative journeys, I’ve been following Christy Carlson Romano for years! Many of you probably remember her as the incredibly smart Ren Stevens on Even Stevens, or as the iconic Kim Possible. She really blossomed after those roles, taking her talents to Broadway in Beauty and the Beast as Belle, and later joining the cast of Avenue Q. But Christy isn’t just an actress – she’s a true multi-hyphenate! She’s also an author, having penned the novel Grace’s Turn, and even directed a film, Christmas All Over Again. She prioritized education too, earning a degree from Barnard College. On a personal note, she married writer Brendan Rooney in 2013, and they have two adorable daughters, the younger of whom arrived in early 2019. It’s been wonderful to see her return to the screen, recently reprising her role in the Kim Possible live-action movie. What I admire most, though, is her honesty. In a really brave move, she opened up in Teen Vogue last year about some tough times she faced after achieving early success – struggles with depression and finding healthy coping mechanisms. It’s a powerful reminder that even those who seem to have it all together are still human, and her vulnerability is truly inspiring.

Brandon Baker began his career with Disney Channel in 1999, starring as Johnny in Johnny Tsunami. After that, he took on smaller roles in shows like Even Stevens, Boston Public, and The Unit while studying at UC Santa Barbara.
He revisited his famous role in 2007 with the sequel, Johnny Kapahala: Back on Board. More recently, he’s been in two independent films: The Formula, featuring Reginald VelJohnson from Family Matters, and Up on the Wooftop, where Dennis Haskins of Saved By the Bell played Santa Claus.

Alana Austin became known in 2001 for her role as Andi Carson in the Disney Channel movie Motocrossed. The film features a teenage girl who disguises herself as her twin brother to compete in motocross after he’s injured.
After Motocrossed, Austin appeared in a few television shows, including 7th Heaven, Boston Public, and Cold Case, but she stopped acting in 2006. She went on to study medicine at USC, and later shared on Twitter in 2016 that she was focusing on writing, though she still felt fondly about her time as an actress.

Kay Panabaker first gained recognition on Disney Channel with a role in Phil of the Future, and later starred in several Disney Channel Original Movies like Life is Ruff and Read It and Weep with her sister, Danielle Panabaker. She also competed on the first Disney Channel Games in 2006. While she moved on to more mature roles in the 2009 film Fame and the 2011 TV series No Ordinary Family, she decided to leave acting by 2012. Kay then pursued her passion for animals, studying zoology at UCLA and eventually working as an animal keeper at Disney’s Animal Kingdom starting in 2016.
