Barry Keoghan is letting his hair be.
The actor known for Saltburn has changed his appearance, letting his brown hair grow out for his upcoming role as Ringo Starr, the drummer from The Beatles, in a new four-part movie about the band.
At the London premiere of Crime 101 on January 28th, Barry Keoghan stood out with a new look â a mop-top haircut reminiscent of The Beatles â and a stylish leather racing jacket from MAINS.
The film will feature Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney, Joseph Quinn as George Harrison, and Harris Dickinson as John Lennon, alongside the 33-year-old lead actor.
Barry wants to make the famous band seem more relatable in the musical by exploring Ringoâs personality and experiences.
He told Jimmy Kimmel that he visited the man at his home and the man played the drums for him. He described being completely amazed and speechless during the performance.
In fact, Barry was starstruck throughout the meeting.
“When I was talking to him, I couldnât look at him,” he admitted. “I was nervous.”
Fortunately, the actor was able to come together in the end.
Barry remembered Ringo saying, ‘You can look at me,’ which Barry saw as a great chance to study his behavior for the role. He described Ringo as very kind and relaxed, simply sitting and chatting in the garden.

Ringo Starr recently shared his thoughts on Barry Gibb playing him in a movie. He told Entertainment Tonight in 2024 that he heard Barry was taking drum lessons, and jokingly asked someone to tell him not to overdo it.
Each film in this project, directed by Sam Mendes, will focus on the life of a different member of The Beatles.
Ringo recently told People magazine that their lives were all connected. He explained that because they all knew each other before The Beatles, and continued to be a part of each otherâs lives afterward, their shared history would always be present. He said he finds that idea really exciting.
