Arc System Works revealed a new game, currently known as River City Saga: Journey to the West (the official English title will be announced later), is coming to PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam in 2026. Fans can get a first look at the game right now at Taipei Game Show 2062, which runs from January 29th to February 1st in Taipei, Taiwan.

Get ready for a hilarious and action-packed adventure! Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie, Sha Wujing, and Sanzang – all reimagined in the classic Kunio style – are on a wild journey to reach India. Following the success of River City Saga: Three Kingdoms, River City Saga: Journey to the West brings the beloved Chinese tale Journey to the West to life with a fresh, comedic twist.
During the chaotic Tang dynasty, monsters roamed freely, and the world seemed beyond saving. Moved by the suffering, Buddha sent monks on a perilous quest to India – a journey of 108,000 miles – to retrieve sacred scriptures. Leading the way was Sun Wukong, a powerful but mischievous disciple seeking redemption. Joining him were Zhu Bajie, a fun-loving and somewhat clumsy monk, and Sha Wujing, a dedicated and serious disciple. Together, this group embarked on their westward journey, facing countless challenges in hopes of bringing enlightenment back to their world. What adventures lie ahead for them?
