London theatre the Donmar Warehouse has announced a stacked TV line-up for its 2026 show season.
The playhouse will be staging four new shows, with cast members from popular series like Doctor Who: The War Between the Land and the Sea, Mr Bates vs the Post Office, and Slow Horses.
Starting in April, Adeel Akhtar (known for “Fool Me Once”) and Monica Dolan (“Mr Bates”) will star in a new play called “Mass.” Based on the Sundance award-winning film of the same name, the play centers around two couples who meet to discuss and try to understand past events.
I’m really excited about Russell Tovey’s next project – he’s going to be in a new play called The Guilty. It’s a thriller where he plays a police officer trying to rescue a woman in distress, and the whole thing unfolds in real time through a 999 emergency call. Sounds intense!
Following those announcements, the theatre will also present a revival of Brian Friel’s play, A Month in the Country, and a new production of Danny Lee Wynter’s Ilford Boy.
Donmar Theatre’s Artistic Director Tim Sheader and Executive Director Henny Finch have announced their upcoming season, which includes three brand new plays and one well-known play returning to the stage.
We’re delighted to welcome back familiar directors and writers, like Lyndsey Turner, who will continue her work with Brian Friel this season. We’re also thrilled to introduce a host of talented new artists to the Donmar stage.

The stories you’ll see at the Donmar Warehouse are all about bringing people together and celebrating our shared human experiences. Whether it’s the raw emotion of parents grappling with loss in Mass, the suspense of The Guilty, a beautiful summer love story in A Month in the Country, or the relatable journey of growing up in Ilford Boy, we aim to create moments that connect us all.
To make theatre more inclusive, Donmar is now offering tickets for just £20 to anyone under 35, and is also providing over 1,800 free tickets to schools in the local area.
The shows will run from April 18th to November 28th, and tickets will be available to book starting February 6th.
