This year’s nominees for Best New Artist represent a wide range of musical styles and come from diverse backgrounds. Many fans recognize Leon from the show Victorious, but they might first remember Addison and Alex as stars from TikTok’s Hype House.

In 2025, Olivia gained recognition with her songs “Man I Need” and “So Easy (To Fall in Love).” Around the same time, Lola’s single “Messy” became a global hit, and Katseye also topped the charts with “Gabriela” and “Gnarly.”
For the entire group of nominees, being recognized has, of course, been gnarly indeed.
Olivia was speechless after her nomination, and the team at Katseye – Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Manon Bannerman, Megan Skiendiel, Sophia Laforteza, and Yoonchae Jeung – felt equally overwhelmed with gratitude, saying they were beyond words.

Meanwhile, Sombr (real name Shane Michael Boose), looked back on how far he’s come.
Music has been a huge part of my life since childhood, and it’s truly changed everything for me,” he shared on Instagram. “A year ago, I was 19, struggling with depression and feeling lost. I wrote all of these songs by myself, in my bedroom. Now, looking back, I’m incredibly grateful for everyone who supported me and encouraged me to keep creating.
