From Dusk Till Dawn, Zayn Malik fans will be talking about this moment.
While performing at his Las Vegas show at Dolby Live, Zayn Malik appeared to respond to criticism aimed at his former One Direction bandmate, Harry Styles, regarding the high cost of tickets for Harry’s current world tour.
Zayn expressed his gratitude to the audience at his January 28th concert, saying he appreciated them choosing to spend their evening with him instead of being anywhere else. A video of his thanks circulated on X.
After a long pause, Zayn cheekily added, “Hopefully the ticket prices weren’t too high.”
To uproarious applause, the 33-year-old grinned, adding, “Just saying.”
Zayn’s comments about ticket prices seem mild when compared to the strong reactions from fans. Many shared screenshots showing tickets costing around $1,000 each, no matter where the seats were located in the venue.
One fan expressed outrage on X, sharing screenshots of tickets costing as much as $800 and calling the prices “insane.”
Harry has yet to publicly address the pricing criticism.
Zayn isn’t the only former bandmate to react to Harry’s new music. Louis Tomlinson recently mentioned seeing parts of Harry’s “Aperture” music video online.
Louis recently mentioned to NME that he’s only caught a quick glimpse of the video for the song – “just a clip of him dancing or being tossed around,” he said. While he hasn’t had a chance to listen to the full track yet, he’s confident it’s good. He shared this in an interview published on January 28th, while promoting his new album, How Did I End Up Here?.

Harry rarely talks about his old bandmates—like Niall Horan and the late Liam Payne—in public. However, he’s hinted at disagreements with Zayn several times in the past.
During a 2019 appearance on Saturday Night Live, the 31-year-old spoke fondly of his friends, calling them his ‘brothers.’ He then playfully listed Niall, Louis, Liam, and, with a humorous pause, ‘Ringo!’
Oh my god, can you believe it? Years ago, Harry actually mocked Zayn for leaving One Direction – right before their break! It happened during this hilarious sketch on a late-night show where Harry was doing an impression of Mick Jagger. I was so shocked, but honestly, it was classic Harry. It just shows how much everything was changing even then, you know?
In a 2017 sketch on Celebrity Family Feud, Harry jokingly asked, while impersonating Mick Jagger of The Rolling Stones, “Solo? Why would anyone leave a successful band to go it alone? That’s crazy!”

Even though the band gained fans worldwide, they came in third place on the show in 2010, finishing behind Rebecca Ferguson and Matt Cardle.

The British band first appeared on Saturday Night Live in 2012, performing their hit song “One Thing” with a lot of energy.

The band won the ‘Best Song of the Summer’ award – the famous moonman statue – for their hit, “Best Song Ever.”

The band’s concert documentary, This Is Us, offers fans an inside look at life on the road during their This Is Us Tour.

In November 2014, the band had the chance to meet Prince William and Kate Middleton while performing at the Royal Variety Performance.

In 2014, the band’s Where We Are Tour earned more money than any other tour, surpassing those of popular artists like Justin Timberlake, The Rolling Stones, Katy Perry, and the combined tour of Beyoncé and Jay-Z.

In March 2015, Malik announced that he was leaving the band to launch his solo career.

Following the release of their 2015 album, Made in the A.M., One Direction—comprising Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson—announced they would be taking a break with no set return date.

In 2016, Louis Tomlinson had a son named Freddie Reign. The following year, Liam Payne and Cheryl Cole welcomed their son, Bear Grey.

Back in 2020, rumors of a possible One Direction reunion began circulating when Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, and Niall Horan all started following Zayn Malik again on X, which was then called Twitter.
Adding to speculation about a possible reunion, Payne mentioned to The Sun that they’d been in frequent communication recently because the band’s 10-year anniversary is approaching, and it had been a pleasant experience.

Malik and his then-girlfriend Gigi Hadid welcomed daughter Khai in September 2020.

Payne attended the London premiere of Tomlinson’s 2023 documentary All of Those Voices.
