Guide: Best Co-Op Games on PS Plus

Looking for great co-op games on PS Plus? While PS Plus has tons of games to enjoy by yourself, it also offers a wide selection of fantastic titles you can play with friends.

Honestly, gaming with friends is just way better than going solo. It’s not just about winning or losing; it’s about working together, chatting while you play, and sharing those moments – whether you totally crush it or spectacularly fail. It really brings you closer, you know?

Some games, such as It Takes Two, are designed specifically for cooperative play, while others, like Returnal and Sniper Elite 5, let you team up with friends as an optional feature.

This guide highlights the top co-op games you can play with your PlayStation Plus Essential, Extra, or Premium subscription.

Just like our other rankings, this list of top action games is determined by the Push Square community. If you don’t see your favorite co-op games here, please use the search box to rate them! These ratings directly affect the list, so it will change over time as new games are added or removed from PS Plus, and as the community submits their scores.

Please note that a game must have at least 20 ratings for it to appear on this list.

Here we go then. These are the best co-op games on PS Plus, as ranked and rated by you.

15. Human: Fall Flat (PS5)

Human: Fall Flat is a hilarious puzzle platformer where you don’t need to be accurate – it’s all about clumsy, funny moments, much like the game Gang Beasts. You control a wobbly character through physics-based levels, awkwardly floating and stumbling your way forward. Its lighthearted and funny gameplay has kept players entertained for a long time, even surprising the game’s creators.

14. LEGO Horizon Adventures (PS5)

LEGO Horizon Adventures surprisingly blends the playful world of LEGOs with the sci-fi adventure of Horizon. It looks fantastic, and manages to capture the feel of the original game’s action, while telling the story in a way that’s perfect for all ages – it feels a lot like The LEGO Movie! It’s best enjoyed playing with others, and while it’s not a complex game, the enjoyable battles, character customization, and beautiful visuals make it a lot of fun.

13. The Ascent (PS5)

The Ascent is a really engaging game that blends fast-paced shooting with RPG elements and a ton of loot, all set in a stunningly detailed cyberpunk world. It lives up to the hype, and is even more fun when played with friends either locally or online. While the missions can sometimes feel a bit samey, the core gameplay is addictive and can keep you playing for a long time.

12. Far Cry 6 (PS5)

Okay, so after a couple of Far Cry games that didn’t really click with me, Far Cry 6 totally brought the series back to life! You play as Dani, and you can choose their gender, and the whole goal is to team up with a bunch of rebels to free Yara from this really intimidating dictator, Antón Castillo. Honestly, it’s a pretty familiar setup if you’ve played a Far Cry game before, but the combat is where it shines. Things get crazy fast, and you can build your own weapons – seriously, a rocket launcher you wear on your back and a Walkman you use as a gun? Amazing! If you’re just looking for a solid, enjoyable open-world game to relax with, this is a safe bet.

11. Sniper Elite 5 (PS5)

Sniper Elite 5 doesn’t try to reinvent the wheel, and that’s perfectly fine. It understands what its fans want and delivers a solid experience. Players once again take on the role of Karl Fairburne, this time in occupied France, tasked with dismantling a plot called Operation Kraken. The game expertly combines stealth with long-distance shooting, and the level design is impressively detailed and offers plenty of verticality. A new feature, Axis Invasion, lets other players invade your solo campaign, adding a significant amount of pressure and excitement. While it doesn’t break new ground, Sniper Elite 5 is a polished and consistently enjoyable game – Rebellion knows exactly what it’s doing.
