Even though it’s winter and temperatures are dropping, Netflix is bringing the heat with a brand new season of its popular romantic series. The highly anticipated episodes are finally here for subscribers to enjoy.
The first four episodes of Bridgerton’s highly anticipated fourth season are available starting today, Thursday, January 29th. These episodes are titled “The Waltz”, “Time Transfixed”, “The Field Next to the Other Road”, and “An Offer from a Gentleman”. The final four episodes of the season will be released on February 26th.
Season 4 of Bridgerton Adapts Not Only Julia Quinn’s Novel, But An Iconic Fairytale as Well
Season four of Bridgerton draws inspiration from Julia Quinn’s novel, An Offer from a Gentleman, which tells the love story of Benedict Bridgerton and Sophie, the unrecognized daughter of an earl. Much like the classic tale of Cinderella, the novel—and now the season—explores a romance where someone rises from humble beginnings. This marks a slight change of pace for the show, which previously adapted the novels The Duke and I, The Viscount Who Loved Me, and Romancing Mister Bridgerton.
It’s going to be exciting to see how Netflix portrays the story in Bridgerton. The trailer already gave us a peek, hinting at fairytale connections – like a glove instead of Cinderella’s glass slipper – and we’re curious to see how these elements are woven throughout the Regency-era setting. While the first part only has four episodes, the rest of the season will be available soon, on February 26th. Plus, there’s even more to look forward to: Bridgerton has already been renewed for seasons five and six, meaning plenty more romance is on the way.
Bridgerton Season 4 Part 1 is now streaming on Netflix.
