Avengers 5 Merch Reveals Best Look At 28 Doomsday Character Costumes

New promotional images for the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday movie have revealed exciting new designs for popular characters like Doctor Doom, Reed Richards, and Shang-Chi, along with fresh looks for the X-Men. With marketing for the film gaining momentum, four teaser trailers have already given fans a preview of the story, returning characters, and costumes—including those of Namor, Shuri, and Thor. Marvel is continuing to build excitement by sharing detailed looks at each character’s updated design.

New promotional images for the 2026 Marvel movie, Avengers: Doomsday, were unveiled at the Futures Festival at Pinewood Studios, giving fans their clearest view yet of the film’s main heroes and villains.

I was so excited when I saw the new promo art for Doomsday! It shows off all the major players – Doctor Doom is front and center, of course, and you’ve got the Fantastic Four (including little Franklin Richards!), the X-Men, and the Avengers all together. They even gave the Avengers logo a fresh update, though it looks like that version is just for this new artwork.

Doctor Doom

Official merchandise for the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday film features a chilling depiction of Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom. His mask, with its blank expression, is particularly striking and creates a menacing look.

If you look closely at the cloak clasps worn by the character, they seem to feature symbols also associated with Thor and Captain Marvel.

The exact material Doom’s armor is made of isn’t known, but it’s likely incredibly durable – possibly as strong as vibranium or adamantium – because it needs to protect him from attacks by powerful heroes.

Fantastic Four

As a big Fantastic Four fan, I’ve been checking out the latest set photos, and it looks like Reed, Sue, and Johnny are sporting some cool new jackets over their classic uniforms. What’s really interesting is that their hairstyles seem to be the same ones they had in The Fantastic Four: First Steps – a nice nod to that earlier story, I think!

Ben Grimm appears to be wearing the same costume from the first movie, without any noticeable changes. He might also have a Fantastic Four jacket that he wears during the film.

An older version of Franklin Richards was also shown, and he’s predicted to be central to Doctor Doom’s plans in the upcoming Doomsday storyline.

The New Avengers

The newest trailer for Avengers: Doomsday gave fans a better look at the New Avengers team. Aside from Bob, the team members – Yelena, Bucky, US Agent, Ghost, and Red Guardian – are all wearing the same outfits they wore in Thunderbolts and the scene after the credits rolled.

Yelena is wearing a gray armored suit, and Bucky has new armor featuring the New Avengers logo. Red Guardian has shaved his head, and US Agent continues to wear his familiar beret as part of his helmet setup.

Completing the group are Ghost, sporting a black suit with the New Avengers emblem, and Bob, who surprisingly turns into the Sentry when fighting Doctor Doom.

Wakandans & Namor

The latest promotional artwork for Avengers: Doomsday gives us another look at the costumes of key characters like M’Baku, Shuri, and Namor. These designs are consistent with what we saw in the recent one-minute trailer, offering a clearer view of their outfits.

As the king of Wakanda, M’Baku sports an updated version of his armor, possibly enhanced with technology from Talokan. He still relies on his signature reinforced forearm guards and spiked weaponry.

The new looks for Shuri and Namor suggest Wakanda and Talokan are now sharing technology, which is positive. They’ll need all the strength they can gather to fight Doctor Doom in the upcoming Multiversal War.

X-Men

Okay, let’s talk about the costumes in the new promo art – the X-Men are really shining! After seeing that fantastic, comic-book accurate Cyclops suit on James Marsden in the latest trailer, we’ve gotten a better look at what the rest of the team will be wearing, and honestly, they’re impressive. It’s a great sign that they’re paying attention to the source material, and I’m really excited to see these looks come to life on screen.

Ian McKellen’s Magneto has a longer hairstyle in his new costume, mirroring the look from the X-Men ’97 animated series. Alan Cumming’s Nightcrawler is a spot-on portrayal, complete with the classic purple turtleneck seen in the comics.

Charles Xavier is seen wearing a black turtleneck, a style also featured in the latest trailer for Doomsday. Kelsey Grammer’s portrayal of Beast includes longer hair, and Mystique is wearing a costume that’s very faithful to the comics, complete with her signature red hair. Gambit also seems to be wearing the same outfit he wore in Deadpool & Wolverine.

Sam Wilson’s Avengers

So, rounding out the main team in Avengers: Doomsday, we’ve got Sam Wilson – now leading the charge – and his new crew of heroes. It’s a great mix, including Shang-Chi, Thor, Falcon, and Ant-Man. I’m really excited to see how they all work together!

As a fan, I’ve noticed Sam Wilson’s Captain America is rocking the same awesome suit he wore during that huge fight with Red Hulk in Captain America: Brave New World. And while Joaquin Torres is now Falcon, it looks like his suit has only gotten a small makeover so far – we haven’t seen the full design in the promotional images yet, but I’m excited to see it!

As a movie buff, I’ve noticed something cool about the character designs in the latest films. Thor’s rocking that long-hair look again – the one we all loved from Avengers: Infinity War, and it’s fantastic to see! And it’s not just him; Ant-Man seems to have gone back to his original suit from Ant-Man and the Wasp. That makes total sense, though, since he was wearing something very similar in Avengers: Endgame after his time in the Quantum Realm. It’s great to see these characters embrace their classic looks again!

God Loki

The official promotional image of Loki as a god is striking, showing him with the same appearance he had at the end of Loki Season 2, after becoming the God of Stories.

The design for God Loki presents a grander, more cosmic take on Tom Hiddleston’s character, highlighted by his striking gold-horned helmet, which establishes him as a protector of the Multiverse.

We haven’t seen Loki fully unleash his powers as the God of Stories yet, so it’ll be fascinating to see how he stacks up against Doctor Doom.
