A patient, Debbie Cohen (Mara Klein), returned to the Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center (PTMC) with a worsening condition – initially seen in the premiere for a minor foot injury – and may have a dangerous, fast-spreading MRSA infection. This could have serious consequences for everyone at the hospital.

After Dr. Langdon saw a small red mark on Cohen’s foot and leg, she was initially given antibiotics and cleared to go home. However, Cohen had to return in Episode 4 because the redness had spread and her pain increased.
