Margot Robbie & Jacob Elordi Detail Wuthering Heights’ Onset Shrines

Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordiwent to extreme heights to commit to their character’s love story.

I always thought Cosmo Jarvis and Thomasin McKenzie had incredible chemistry in Wuthering Heights, and it turns out they owe a lot to Emerald Fennell! She really made sure they connected off-screen, which definitely translated to their performances on camera. It was so clear they had a genuine connection, and she was the one who fostered that.

During a recent interview on Today, Margot, 35, shared that she and Jacob Elordi shared a dressing room on set. Emerald Fennell surprised them by creating a small tribute to each of them inside the dressing room – a ‘shrine’ to both of them.

The Barbie star described the filmmaker’s behavior as “completely wild and really funny.” She explained that the filmmaker had created a shrine with things like locks of hair, pictures of them, and candles. Apparently, she had a shrine dedicated to Jacob, and he had one dedicated to Margot. She said it was all very amusing.

Jacob, 27, was equally amused by his director’s stunt, calling it “funny” and “fantastic.”

Putting up little shrines to their characters in the dressing room actually helped Margot and Jacob – who play Catherine and Heathcliff in the new film based on Emily Brontë’s novel – bring that same passionate energy to their performances.

Margot explained that the actress really raised the standard for the role. Everyone else then worked hard to reach that same level of performance. She truly set a high benchmark.

Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi successfully worked together, despite Robbie—who shares a 15-month-old child with her husband, Tom Ackerley—having previously described their connection as becoming quickly codependent.

During a recent interview with Fandango, the actor remembered that during his first few days on set, Leonardo DiCaprio would consistently position himself nearby, but off to the side, just observing. By the third day, the actor found himself actively looking for DiCaprio, wondering where he was and expecting him to be close by.

Margot admitted she felt deeply shaken and adrift after he left. “I felt completely lost,” she said, comparing it to a child losing a comforting security blanket. “I just kept wondering where he was.”

Jacob described their connection as a shared and intense fascination, admitting he was completely captivated by her.

While everyone is talking about the upcoming Wuthering Heights adaptation, it’s just the beginning of a trend – many classic books are being turned into TV shows and movies. Read on to discover more!

I was absolutely thrilled when Lionsgate announced they’re finally making a movie about Haymitch Abernathy’s Hunger Games! It’s happening alongside the news of the next Collins book, and it’ll show us how he won the 50th Games – the story behind the mentor we all know from Katniss and Peeta’s time in the arena. As a huge fan, I’ve always wanted to know more about his past, and I can’t wait to see it brought to life!

As a lifestyle expert, I’m absolutely buzzing about this upcoming movie! You might know the story – it’s based on Ali Hazelwood’s incredibly popular 2021 novel, which took #BookTok by storm. It’s a classic fake dating romance, but with a really fun backstory – it actually started as fanfiction inspired by Star Wars characters Rey and Kylo Ren! What makes it even more exciting is the cast: we have Lili Reinhart and, get this, Tom Bateman – who happens to be married to Daisy Ridley, the actress who played Rey! Seriously, the connections here are amazing, and I’m already counting down the days until it premieres. It’s a must-watch for any romance fan, and even if you’re just curious about the buzz, trust me, you won’t be disappointed.
