Predicting Every Member of Daredevil’s Army in Born Again Season 2

One of the most anticipated parts of Daredevil: Born Again season 2 is the team of heroes Daredevil assembles, often referred to as ‘Daredevil’s Army.’ After season 1 ended with Wilson Fisk, the mayor of New York City, banning all vigilante activity and creating a task force to enforce the law, Matt Murdock realized he needed to build his own group of vigilantes to oppose Fisk – and that’s the focus of the upcoming season.

Daredevil’s Army will likely include many supporting characters and police officers, such as Cherry. But this list concentrates on the main players – heroes and characters we’ve already seen in the Netflix Daredevil show. Here’s what we know for sure, and a few possibilities that might happen.

7) Daredevil

It’s a given that Daredevil himself, Matt Murdock, would lead his new team. He’ll be at the forefront of the fight against Wilson Fisk and the Advanced Tech Task Force. Having previously led the Defenders, he’s well-prepared to guide a group of heroes against a criminal threat.

6) Jessica Jones

Jessica Jones is returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe after being featured in season 3 of her own show. She’ll be in season 2 of the Daredevil: Born Again series, though the details of her role are still under wraps. It’s expected she’ll join Daredevil’s team, and likely be one of its most powerful members.

While she has superpowers, her greatest strength on the team is likely her detective skills. She’s excellent at gathering information, and she could uncover crucial details about Fisk that could bring him down. Her experience as a private investigator has prepared her well for this, and it seems this was the intention for her role all along, mirroring Ben Urich’s work in the first season, so she’s poised to be a key player in the upcoming season.

5) Angela Del Toro/White Tiger

White Tiger made a big impact in the first season of Daredevil: Born Again, and now that Angela Del Toro has become the new White Tiger, she’s likely to continue fighting crime as a hero in season 2. Because she’s already friends with Matt Murdock and played a significant role in season 1, it’s very probable she’ll join Daredevil’s team. This is great news for White Tiger fans, who have a lot to look forward to in the next episodes.

4) Jack Duquense/Swordsman

Though Tony Dalton’s character, Swordsman, wasn’t a major part of the first season of Daredevil: Born Again, he did make a brief appearance at the end, shown briefly imprisoned in one of Fisk’s facilities. This could just be a quick reference for fans, but it suggests Swordsman might play a more significant part in the show’s second season.

Given Swordsman’s existing conflict with Kingpin, it’s logical he’d team up with Daredevil’s group. He could become an ally after escaping from Kingpin’s custody, and then help fight against the AVTF.

3) Maya Lopez/Echo

Before the release of Daredevil: Born Again, Echo was the most important character introduced to the Marvel Cinematic Universe since the shows that originally aired on Netflix, and she had a connection to Daredevil. Her own series heavily referenced the Netflix Daredevil show, and she even met Daredevil early on. Many were surprised she wasn’t in the first season of Born Again, but the upcoming second season could fix that.

Given Echo’s strong ties to Wilson Fisk, her presence is crucial to fully telling the story of his control over New York. Her return to the city and alliance with Daredevil would also mirror their established relationship from the comic books.

2) Karen Page

Daredevil’s team doesn’t have to be limited to traditional superheroes, and Karen Page would be a valuable addition. She’s shown a willingness to take the law into her own hands before, and her role seems to be expanding in season two. Similar to Jessica Jones and Ben Urich, Karen’s skills as a journalist could be key to exposing and defeating Fisk.

1) Luke Cage

While it’s a long shot, Luke Cage is the most likely former Netflix hero to appear in Daredevil: Born Again. Rumors have been circulating for some time about Mike Colter reprising his role, and the ‘Daredevil’s Army’ storyline provides a natural way to bring the character back into the fold, even without official confirmation.

Luke is likely the most powerful member of the team, which would be a huge benefit to Daredevil’s Army. Even if he doesn’t directly fight Fisk, the second season of Daredevil: Born Again could still incorporate his storyline from the comics by having him run for mayor of New York City.
