Fans eagerly await each new game from RGG Studio, and this year is no different with the upcoming release of Yakuza Kiwami 3 and Dark Ties. However, early impressions from the demo haven’t been great, with many players expressing disappointment in the game’s graphics. The full game launches next week.
The game is currently receiving mostly negative feedback, with only 26% of over 1,185 user reviews recommending it. Many players have noted that the lighting, particularly around the Kubochi River, isn’t great. The developers at RGG Studio have acknowledged the issues and announced they’re releasing a patch on the game’s launch day to fix them.
Don’t worry, the graphics in the demo aren’t representative of the final game. We’re planning a version 1.11 patch for launch that will fix the lighting and other visual issues. Many players have already noticed problems with the lighting and visuals around the Kubochi River area in Downtown Ryukyu, and we’ll be addressing that specifically.
This update includes more than just the previously mentioned fixes. The developer explained it will also bring a variety of other improvements. It’s possible the update won’t be released on all platforms at the same time, so consider this if you’re planning to buy something based on these changes.
Will these changes affect battles, particularly since many players have found Dragon of Dojima: Kiwami Style to be too simple? Only time will tell. However, considering recent leaks and story alterations discovered through datamining, it’s likely that RGG Studio won’t be able to satisfy all fans.
I’m super excited – Yakuza Kiwami 3 and Dark Ties is hitting Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC on February 12th! I’ve already checked out a feature that breaks down all the new stuff, like fresh activities and the story details from Yoshitaka Mine’s prequel.
We’ve received feedback from players about visual problems and other issues in the Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties demo. Don’t worry, the demo’s graphics aren’t representative of the final game. We’re planning to release a version 1.11 patch soon to address these concerns…
