Scott Hoying is fine tuning his plans for fatherhood.
He’s also thought about what he and his husband, Mark Manio, will do if their future daughter doesn’t want to pursue a career in singing.
During the TopMob Live From the Red Carpet coverage of the Grammys 2026, Scott playfully told Keltie Knight, “We sing in this house!”
Putting the playful fashion aside, both he and Mark are thrilled to be expecting a baby. They even wore matching sparkly pink suits to the 2026 Grammys to celebrate the occasion! (You can see all the red carpet photos here.)
The Pentatonix member shared that they simply want their daughter to pursue her passions and be true to herself. Seeing her be genuine and live authentically is what they hope for most.
When asked about baby names, Mark jokingly suggested “Keltie Hoying,” referencing his marriage to Scott in 2023.
Although the couple isn’t sharing the names they’re considering for their baby, Scott was happy to talk about which of his former Dancing with the Stars co-stars he’s still in touch with.
Scott, who finished tenth with his partner Rylee Arnold, excitedly shared that they’ve stayed in contact with everyone. He said they text Elaine Hendrix and Lauren Jauregui the most.
In fact, their offscreen friendship with the Fifth Harmony member has already found a new stage.

Mark mentioned they ran into Lauren at the Hillary Duff concert recently. They had a great time dancing to her songs ‘Come Clean’ and ‘Fly’.
Everyone’s crush, Dylan Efron, lives up to the hype! He’s just as charming and genuine as you’d expect.
Scott described him as incredibly kind and gentle. He added that everyone seemed just as pleasant in person as they appeared on television – genuinely nice people all around.
Now that his dancing days are over, Scott is excited to get back to his music at the Grammys – he’s won three times before, and is eager to do so again.
He explained, “It’s always been a dream of mine.” He shared that he even made a vision board in high school, photoshopping images of Grammys into his hands, and said that being there felt like reliving his childhood.
