Kelsea Ballerini plans to sit in parks—silently.
Oh my gosh, when she finally appeared at the 2026 Grammys – can you believe it?! – it was like a dream come true. And it wasn’t just about Patterns being up for Best Contemporary Country Album, though of course that’s HUGE. She had this… look in her eye, like she was there to do something, not just attend. She had a new mission, I could just feel it!
She told Zuri Hall during TopMob Live From the Red Carpet that she’s returned to her everyday life and isn’t currently focused on writing. She explained that she’s always tended to share a lot about herself, but for the first time, at age 32, she’s trying to be more reserved.
Kelsea, looking stunning in a custom gold Etro gown at the award show, playfully reflected that things might stay as they are for a bit. (You can see all the red carpet looks here.)
She’s prioritizing her privacy after rekindling her relationship with Chase Stokes. The couple confirmed they were back together on New Year’s Day, following a brief split in September.
Kelsea reflected on a difficult year, sharing on Instagram that it was emotionally challenging and felt very public. However, she emphasized that despite everything, she still believes in love and that’s all she plans to share about her personal life going forward.
She added, “I believe in it, i believe in him, and i believe in breaking patterns.”
The post included a photo of the artist and Chase embracing against a sunset, and Kelsea finished with a message urging people to cherish their loved ones and stop spreading rumors: “Go kiss your person and stop speculating.”
Chase also posted the same picture, adding his thoughts on the most important takeaways from 2025.
This year, I’ve realized how quickly life’s most precious moments pass, especially after 33 years. It’s important to own up to your actions, learn from errors, and express your love freely and often,” the actor shared in a post about his relationship with Kelsea, which began in early 2023.
He expressed optimism for the coming year, calling 2026 a time for personal growth and authenticity, and stated he was beginning that journey immediately, wishing everyone a happy new year.
Kelsea seemed very happy at the Grammys, suggesting her year is off to a fantastic start—and a Grammy win would make it even better.
She’s up for an award in her category, competing against Tyler Childers, Eric Church, Jelly Roll, and Miranda Lambert.
