Falcom plans to reveal a new game in February that’s currently scheduled for release in 2026, according to company president Toshihiro Kondo at Taipei Game Show 2026.
So, about 2026, like you asked, we’re planning on releasing two new games. We’ve got Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter lined up, and another one we haven’t revealed yet! Honestly, it’s been decades since we’ve launched two games in one year, but development is going really well right now and we’re pretty confident we’re on track to make it happen.
Besides Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter, we’re planning a significant announcement next month – in February – and we’re excited to share a major reveal.
I’m so excited – this year is Falcom’s 45th anniversary! They’re planning to celebrate with announcements, and they’ve asked us to be patient and keep an eye out because they want to reveal things at a good rhythm. I’m definitely staying tuned – I can’t wait to see what they have in store!
Although Falcom hasn’t officially revealed their 2026 game, a recent New Year’s card hints it will be the Tokyo Xanadu New Project – a game previously announced in 2024 and taking place in Kyoto.
