Marcello Hernández came all this way to rave about his girlfriend.
Former Saturday Night Live cast member, Andy Samberg, offered a glimpse into his relationship with girlfriend Ana Amelia Batlle Cabral while at the 2026 Grammy Awards in Los Angeles on February 1st.
I was so thrilled to hear Marcello say such wonderful things about her while he was at the Grammys with Elliana! He told Zuri Hall that she’s absolutely unreal, and even more importantly, a genuinely good person. It’s amazing to see such positive recognition!
The 28-year-old also mentioned that Ana, a Yale graduate and co-founder of the design firm BATLLE + sig, has excellent style.
He went on to say that she’s very family-oriented and clearly well-educated, with good manners – she always remembers to say ‘please’ and ‘thank you.’ He thinks she’s a wonderful person.
Marcello and Ana first ignited dating rumors in May when they were seen together at the after-party for The Phoenician Scheme. They officially confirmed their relationship in July, appearing together on the red carpet at the premiere of Happy Gilmore 2.
Many fans wondered if comedian Marcello would ever date Sabrina Carpenter, but he recently clarified on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast that they are just friends. He explained that he’s currently in a relationship with someone from the Dominican Republic.
“She’s an architect,” he shared of Ana on the Jan. 26 episode. “She’s unreal. She went to Yale.”
Marcello, whose father is from the Dominican Republic, said he and Sabrina connected after she performed in his “Domingo” sketch on SNL. Interestingly, the singer even playfully ‘arrested’ the comedian during one of her shows.
“The Domingo thing was big,” he added, “and she was all about it and it was so cool.”
Although they didn’t find romance, Marcello and Sabrina have become good friends. He was particularly impressed with her talent for comedy, which she honed as a young actor on shows like Girl Meets World.
“Sabrina’s really down to clown,” he continued. “She’s down to think of something funny.”
