A sense of gloom still hangs over Emmerdale after the discovery of Celia Daniels and Anya Berisha’s bodies at Butler’s Farm.
Anya passed away after being sick for a long time while she was forced to work as a slave on Celia and her son Ray Walters’s farm. They made Bear Wolf bury her, and in a particularly heartless act, Celia wrapped Anya’s body in a blanket that belonged to Moira Dingle.
Afterward, Ray, desperate to escape his mother’s control, stabbed her in the back and appeared to bury her in a shallow grave.

Ruby Miligan, played by Beth Cordingly, believed Anya had died. When Bear mentioned a red ribbon being used as a kind of signal, Ruby decided to look into it herself.
Tragically, she found some disturbed soil and realised what had happened.
Today on the show, police raided Butler’s and arrested Moira and her husband, Cain (Jeff Hordley), for a double murder. Their family was devastated as they were taken away.

Both Cain and Moira claimed they hadn’t done anything wrong. Cain argued that if he had committed a murder, he certainly wouldn’t have hidden the body on his own property. However, the evidence strongly suggested Moira was guilty.
She was shocked when Detective Sergeant Walsh (Amanda Ryan) told her that her DNA was on the blanket, and that Celia couldn’t have set her up because Celia was the other victim.
Following a day in police custody, prosecutors authorized the charges against her for the murders of two people. Cain reacted with anger, running after the police van as she was being transported away.
Meanwhile, in the village, Ruby wanted to speak to Bear about Anya.

She suspected he was hiding something, not realizing his son, Paddy Dingle (Dominic Brunt), was actually protecting him from admitting his part in Ray’s death.
Ruby rushed in, demanding to know what was going on, and was upset to learn that Ray was being described as a kind person who genuinely wanted to assist Anya. The discussion quickly overwhelmed Bear, and he started to fall apart.
Ruby attempted to comfort him, claiming Ray’s goal was simply to dominate him, and that Ray ultimately deserved a terrible fate.
“It’s all my fault,” cried Bear.
Is Ruby about to place the puzzle pieces together?
