Players who enjoy games like Stardew Valley and Harvest Moon have been eagerly awaiting Starsand Island. Originally planned to launch on consoles and PC this month, developer Seed Sparkle Lab has announced a change to the release schedule for this 3D farming simulation game. While Starsand Island is still slated for a full launch in 2026, it will now enter Early Access for a few months beforehand.
Seed Sparkle Labs announced today that their game, Starsand Island, will enter Early Access on February 11th. Players will first be able to access it on PC through Steam and via the Xbox Game Pass Preview program. The developers don’t plan for the Early Access period to last very long, and they are currently aiming for a full release of Starsand Island on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2 in the summer of 2026.
Starsand Island‘s Full Release Delayed to Summer 2026, But You Can Still Check It Out Soon

I’m really excited about Starsand Island! It’s a super chill life sim where you basically move to this gorgeous island and start a new life. You get to improve skills like farming and fishing, make friends with the locals, and explore everything the island has to offer. Of course, you can also build and decorate your dream home – it’s a must for any good life sim! The art style is absolutely beautiful, all bright and colorful anime-inspired graphics, and so many cozy gamers (like me!) are counting down the days. It looks like the full game is taking a little longer to come out, but the developers are saying it’s to make it even better, which I totally understand!
Seed Sparkle Lab has announced that the Early Access launch of Starsand Island will allow them to polish the game’s content and improve the final gameplay experience. They’ll be working closely with players during this time to fix any issues and add new features based on their feedback. Players entering Early Access can expect over 100 hours of gameplay, including activities like farming, ranching, fishing, exploring, and crafting. A new trailer showcasing the game’s relaxing and cozy atmosphere has also been released, and you can watch it below.
It seems like Starsand Island is coming along well! The developers are taking a little extra time to polish the game before the official 1.0 release. Releasing a game through Early Access lets players try it out and give feedback, which is helpful when you’re still perfecting the final stages of the game.
Fans are really looking forward to Starsand Island, a cozy game expected to come out in 2026. Unfortunately, console players will have to wait a little longer for the full version. However, if you can’t wait, you can start playing through Early Access beginning February 11th. The full game is currently planned for release on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2 in summer 2026.
Are you planning to try out Starsand Island when it’s available in Early Access, or will you wait for the complete game? Share your thoughts and join the discussion in the ComicBook Forum!
