February 2026 kicks off a packed season of new game releases after a quieter January. Expect a steady stream of major titles each week, including highly anticipated sequels, remasters, remakes, and a unique new game from Grasshopper Manufacture. Here are 15 of the biggest releases to look forward to, starting with…
Resident Evil Requiem
Okay, so as a huge survival horror fan, this is the game I’m most excited about. It’s a return to Raccoon City, which is awesome, and they’ve mixed up the camera angles – sometimes it’s first-person, sometimes third-person. Plus, Leon Kennedy looks incredible! Seriously, Resident Evil Requiem is the one to watch when it drops in February. It feels like forever since Resident Evil Village came out – almost five years! – but everything I’ve seen so far makes me think it’s going to be totally worth the wait. It’s launching on February 27th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, and even the Switch!
Nioh 3
Okay, so the story kicks off with this awesome setup – apparently, Tokugawa Ieyasu wanted peace, but his grandson wasn’t having it! Now, Kyoto’s overrun with Yokai, and it’s up to Tokugawa Takechiyo, the future Shogun, to go back in time and set things right. But get this – Nioh 3 isn’t just the same old game. They’ve added these huge open areas to explore however you want, and you can switch between Samurai and Ninja styles on the fly! Plus, there are tons of new, seriously tough enemies. But don’t worry, it still has that incredibly addictive, challenging combat we all love from the Nioh series. It comes out on February 6th for PS5 and PC, and you can even try a free demo right now!
Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined
This new version of Dragon Quest 7 feels like a classic adventure game, and it’s more than just a graphical update. While this isn’t the first remake, the developers have focused on improving the original story, adding fresh content, and including helpful features like quickly defeating weaker enemies. With these changes, plus new activities and a system for mixing character classes, Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined, launching February 5th, has the potential to be the definitive edition.
Romeo is a Dead Man

Look, I’ll be honest, Suda51 games are always wild cards, and that’s why I love them! So when I heard about Romeo is a Dead Man, I was intrigued. A Romeo Stargazer who dies, comes back to life, and then goes on a crazy hunt for criminals through space and time using something called Dead Gear? Seriously, who saw that coming? But honestly, that’s perfect. The game looks totally bizarre, the combat is fast, bloody, and you get a ton of cool weapons to use, and the bosses are just over-the-top insane. It’s launching on February 11th for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, and I can’t wait!
BlazBlue Entropy Effect X
If you liked Dead Cells, BlazBlue: Entropy Effect is a surprisingly fun and addictive rogue-lite action game. The console version expands on the experience with a new story about Ace searching for the Shards of Possibility to save the world. But even if you’re just looking for more action, the Entropy X update adds a new playable character, Naoto Kurogane, along with new bosses, enemies, and levels.
Mario Tennis Fever
I’m feeling under the weather, and my remedy? More Mario Tennis from Camelot! While no game will ever quite reach the heights of Mario Tennis: Power Tour, the idea of Baby Mario and his friends rediscovering their tennis abilities in Fever is interesting. The biggest draw, though, is the new Fever Rackets. Each one has special abilities – Fever Shots – that can really change a match. Add in the fun twists of “Mix It Up” Mode and a huge roster of 38 playable characters, and Mario Tennis Fever might just surprise everyone when it comes out on February 12th for the Switch 2.
Ride 6
Following up on Ride 5, Ride 6 has been rebuilt with the impressive Unreal Engine 5 and features a huge roster of over 250 bikes. In addition to the familiar favorites, players can now race Baggers and Enduro bikes. The game also introduces proper off-road tracks for the first time, letting you experience the thrill of dirt racing. A brand-new Career Mode, called RIDE Fest, challenges you to compete against legendary riders in their specialty. With all these additions, Ride 6 is shaping up to be a major release when it launches on February 12th.
Yakuza Kiwami 3 and Dark Ties

While a simple visual upgrade to Yakuza 3 would have been appreciated, RGG Studio went above and beyond. They completely reworked the fighting system, added new things to do like running a biker gang, improved how you progress in the game, and even created a brand new side story starring Yoshitaka Mine. And all of this is available for just $69.99. The Steam demo received a “Mostly Negative” rating, which is a little concerning, but hopefully, they’ll polish things up – at least visually – before the game launches on February 12th for PC, PlayStation 5 & 4, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
Reanimal
Tarsier Studios, the creators of Little Nightmares, are back with Reanimal, a new game that aims to be even more unsettling. It tells the story of two siblings searching for their friends after a mysterious event unleashes terrifying horrors. Like Little Nightmares, Reanimal features a creepy atmosphere, unique visual style, and sense of loneliness, but on a larger scale and with even darker themes. Players will explore a broken home, trying to rebuild it – or face deadly consequences. Reanimal launches February 13th on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.
ASTROBOTANICA
Despite having spent a lot of time in similar crafting, farming, and building games, the idea behind ASTROBOTANICA really caught my attention. It takes place in prehistoric times, but with a unique twist: you play as an alien named Xel who needs to gather and study plants to survive the atmosphere. Expect plenty of fun interactions with Neanderthals, intriguing mysteries, six different skill trees to explore, and more. While not everything will be available at launch – ASTROBOTANICA enters early access on February 16th for PC – it still looks like it will offer many hours of gameplay.
Styx: Blades of Greed
Instead of just smashing things, why not have an orc steal everything? Styx is back for his third game, and this time he’s leading a team on a quest for Quartz. You’ll explore three huge, open environments with tons of ways to play. The game features incredibly detailed levels – like a castle wall with chimneys you can sneak through to poison food or control guards – offering a lot of freedom for stealthy, creative gameplay. It releases on February 19th for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
Ys X: Proud Nordics

The game didn’t quite reach the heights of Ys VIII and Ys IX. Proud Nordics doesn’t reinvent the combat, but instead expands the experience with new content like the Aland Island and a story centered around a mysterious user of Mana. If you’re eager for more Ys action – including arena battles, new bosses, and unique Mana Actions – Ys X: Proud Nordics is definitely one to keep an eye on when it releases on February 20th for PS5, Switch 2, and PC.
Aces of Thunder
It’s great to revisit games like Ace Combat 7 or Project Wingman while we wait for Ace Combat 8, but what about experiencing flight combat in virtual reality? Aces of Thunder, launching February 3rd on PC, PS5, and PlayStation VR2, aims to deliver just that. Developed by War Thunder creators Gaijin Entertainment, the game boasts a wide selection of World War I and II aircraft, full HOTAS compatibility, and 15 different maps, making it potentially the most immersive dogfighting simulator to date. Plus, if you don’t have VR, you can still play in a traditional non-VR mode.
Tales of Berseria Remastered
It’s interesting that Tales of Berseria is getting a remaster when Tales of Xillia 2 hasn’t, but Berseria is a fan favorite. The remastered version arrives February 27th on Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, PC, and PS5, and includes welcome improvements like the ability to skip battles and early access to the Grade Shop. Plus, it comes with a good amount of the original game’s DLC.
ChromaGun 2: Dye Hard
Don’t expect to see Portal 3 released in the near future, but if you’re craving a similar puzzle experience, ChromaGun 2: Dye Hard is a great option. The game features a clever mechanic where objects are drawn to surfaces of the same color, and you use this to solve puzzles. You’ll paint the environment with different colors – red, blue, orange, and more – to advance, all while trying to avoid deadly robots.
