What Cardi B Was Up to During Grammys 2026 Ceremony

Cardi B was the opposite of outside on 2026 Grammys night.

Okay, so I was devastated when I realized Kehlani wasn’t at the awards show on February 1st! I was seriously scanning the crowd, hoping to catch a glimpse of her. Turns out, she was actually at home! Can you believe it? Even though she was nominated for Best Rap Performance with “Outside,” she decided to skip the whole thing. I mean, “Outside” is amazing, and she totally deserved to be there, but she was just chilling at home instead. It’s so weird, but honestly, that’s just Kehlani being Kehlani, and I still adore her!

During the live broadcast, Cardi B shared a quick update with her fans, posting a bathroom selfie on Instagram. In the photo, she was comfortably dressed in a tank top and pajama pants.

She’s relishing being home and all its comforts before starting her Little Miss Drama tour. She shared a photo with the caption, “I’m going to miss my home!”

Cardi B didn’t attend the awards show, where Clipse, Pharrell, and Kendrick Lamar won Best Rap Performance, but she still had a great weekend. She returned to Saturday Night Live for the first time since 2018.

Although Cardi didn’t walk the Grammys red carpet, having recently given birth to her first child with Stefon Diggs in November, she still made a big impression with two stunning outfits during her performances.

The singer, celebrating her Dominican heritage, wore a unique dress by Candice Cuoco inspired by Dominican folklore and featuring the colors of the flag when she began performing “Bodega Baddie.” She then changed into a black leather bodysuit with bold details designed by Bryan Hearns for her performance of “ErrTime.”

Even though Cardi B didn’t attend the biggest music awards show, she has plenty to be happy about! Her boyfriend, Stefon, and his team, the New England Patriots, are playing against the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl LX on February 8th.

Cardi B, who shares seven-year-old Kulture, four-year-old Wave, and sixteen-month-old Blossom with her soon-to-be ex-husband Offset, was there to support her boyfriend as he qualified for the championship game on January 25th.

Cardi B celebrated her partner’s achievement with affectionate displays of love and attention.

Cardi B expressed her joy and pride after the Patriots qualified for the playoffs. Speaking to the NFL network on January 25th, she said she was thrilled for the team, especially after watching a player recover from an ACL tear he suffered in October 2024. She added that the entire team had worked incredibly hard to get there.

Not that the “Up” rapper has had much downtime herself.

Cardi B announced on Instagram on November 13th that she’d released new music and a new album. She also shared the exciting news of her new baby, explaining that this addition to her family motivates her to be her best self and to give her children all the love and support they deserve.

Whether the 33-year-old and her 32-year-old partner win another award this month or not, they already feel incredibly successful and happy.

She explained that her life has always involved change and new beginnings. She recently finished one phase and started another, and while starting over was challenging, she feels it’s been incredibly rewarding.
