Capcom is trying a new marketing tactic for the upcoming Resident Evil Requiem, releasing a live-action short film just weeks before the game launches.
This three-minute film shows a mother’s experience in Raccoon City on the day the zombie outbreak begins. Actress Maika Monroe, known for her roles in It Follows and Longlegs, plays the mother. The film ties into the story of Resident Evil Requiem, which revisits Raccoon City after it was destroyed by bombs. You can watch the short film here.
Resident Evil Requiem arrives on PlayStation 5 on February 27, 2026. We recently got a hands-on preview, playing as Leon, and are sharing our initial thoughts before the game launches.
